LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Right, with the idea being to promote more offensive zone activity. Although a huge blue line might be unsightly. But the concept is sound. The line wouldn't have to be solid, it could be very pale blue with dark blue edges, or even just the edges. Quote
Stoner Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Release starving badgers. Seriously, with ratings and attendance strong and the league flush with cash from that big Canadian broadcasting deal, what would the impetus be for such dramatic change? This is a traditional sport with traditional fans who are going to watch no matter what. I hate to say it, but the changes after the lockout are now starting to look like gimmickry intended to make sure fans came back. Quote
LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Sens win again! I hate that this makes me happy. Shorty for the Wings!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!! Quote
LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Detroit has nothing to do with it. huh? Quote
Stoner Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 huh? I deleted my post. But I'm not sure they play into the Islanders situation. If they win, they'd lock up third I think. Quote

Pitt, Boston, Detroit, and Ottawa all need to finish ahead of the Islanders for the dream scenario to work out. So Detroit still needs 2 more points. :-/ Need Boston to score... more  Quote

LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Detroit doesn't if they're in third. If they don't get any more points, and Boston or Ottawa wins out, they won't be in 3rd anymore. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 look how amazing college hockey is compared to NHL, so much more flow. Quote

spndnchz Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 If Florida beats Boston the Islanders are in. If it's in regulation the Penguins get in with one point Friday (against then clinched NYI). Quote
LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 My head hurts. You should get that looked at. http://youtu.be/1auHIte6tv4 Quote
WildCard Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Sure, when you get two of the top programs out there. You get plenty of stinkers out there with lesser programs or certain coaches who dont believe in playing offense. :D Quote
CallawaySabres Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Par for the course, everything that could go wrong for Buffalo continues. With Blues winning, Anaheim needs to beat Yotes on Saturday to secure West. I can't handle much more of this... Quote
WildCard Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 St.Louis secures the Central Division Title Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 LA apparently has tee times next week they can't afford to miss. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 2-0 Vancouver in the 2nd. Phoenix has actually been playing decent hockey. Lack has been solid. Quote
bunomatic Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Except the Yotes only have 1 shot this period Quote
Cereal Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 look how amazing college hockey is compared to NHL, so much more flow. And at the high school level as well! LA apparently has tee times next week they can't afford to miss. Yessir; while I do agree with most here that they sha'n't last long in the playoffs, I am very happy to see Calgary keep pulling out these wins. They clinched with the win over the Kings tonight. I have admired their fanbase the past few years... the Saddledome is always rocking... and they always seem to have >50% of fans wearing home jerseys. I wish I had a complete video of the Calgary feed, but here's the last ~minute of that game: Quote
Stoner Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 And at the high school level as well! Cliff did a nice job putting this together. Quote

Glad to see Calgary get in. Their fans seem great and excited. Quote
shrader Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 I'm glad LA missed the playoffs. The regular season needs to mean something. You can't just coast your way through it and then turn it on in the playoffs. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) I'm glad LA missed the playoffs. The regular season needs to mean something. You can't just coast your way through it and then turn it on in the playoffs. Completely agree with you. Plus, I'm amped to see the Winnipeg fans go nuts when the puck drops in their building. When you blow your chances against Edmonton when it means the most, you shouldn't be defending your cup. :P Edited April 10, 2015 by TheCerebral1 Quote

There's definitely going to be a lot of energy in a few of those arenas. Quote
