Eleven Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Not yet. Boston needs a point today. I read something somewhere about because Florida and Boston play each other a couple of times, there is no possible result that allows the Sabres in. Quote

Boston is going to make it a moot point shortly (up 5-3 in the third), but you are correct. Two head-to-head and Boston can't win either (or even lose one in OT/SO, since the Sabres can't reach 30 ROW), which means that the Panthers would pick up 4 points, enough to put them out of reach. They are officially out. Quote
carpandean Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Sabres are mathematically out of the playoffs into the draft lottery! Bright sides, man. Actually, since they can't catch 9 teams in the West, they've locked up at least a 2% chance at McDavid (17th only has a 1% chance.) Quote
bunomatic Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Kadri suspended by the loafs today for being late to practice. TN isn't the only coach in hockey holding these young guys accountable. Some for the first time in their lives I'm sure. Quote
TheMatrix31 Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 The Calgary Flames are so admirable, unlike the team we root for that loses on purpose. Quote

MattPie Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 One of things I don't like about todays game. Take the hit like a man and move on. As long as "today's" means at least the last 20 years, then sure. I remember seeing the same thing when Ray would hit people. Quote
Huckleberry Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 We are 7 points up at the coyotes , now edmonton is looking more scary to me :p Also Toronto's game is the only one i see us winning in a long while now untill we meet up with the coyotes at the end of the month. Quote

They have no reason to lose that game. They have too much talent to lose to a line of D'Amigo-Schaller-Deslauries (as an example). Unless they just totally give up and sit Kessel, JVR, Reilly and half their roster. Quote
Marvelo Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Tyler Myers is really looking good for the Jets. I didn't think he still had it in him…just goest to show what playing with good players and a shot of confidence will do. Quote

I didn't think he still had it in him…just goest to show what playing with good players and a shot of confidence will do.Not having the weight of expectations on his shoulders is going a long way. Even Stafford has 6 points in 11 games. Both players are slotted nicely with there new team which goes to your point regarding talent level. Quote
LTS Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 And is something to keep in mind when we keep saying around here that they would suck no matter who you put them with. *cough* Hodgson *cough* Quote
Trettioåtta Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Myers p/g with the jets would give him a 67 point season. That would put him second overall for defenceman points last year. Quote

OH THE FOLLY! Just kidding. I'm glad he's doing well in his new opportunity. I also hope Bogosian keeps thumping wingers. Quote
WildCard Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 NYR @ Washington should be a great game to watch; maybe a ECF preview. Definitely the two teams I want in the ECFs. I'd love to see Ovechkin in a cup final Quote

Just like Pronger and Chara, it took the lift of expectations and being placed in a position to succeed for him to make it. He was never going to realize it in B-lo. Lots of such stories that have reverted back to their pre-trade play after the initial high. Quote
