WildCard Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 NHL.com with a weird glitch. Shows Arizona winning 3-2, but has the Canucks going 1 for 4 in the shootout and Coyotes going 0 for 2. Then, in the Box Score, it has Zack Kassian scoring on the first attempt for Arizona (though, both columns say Canucks at the top.) They've been screwing up a lot lately. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 That's 3-2 Coyotes! They blow a 2-0 lead late, and had THREE breakaways in OT, but manage to pull it out in the shootout. They were wearing those crazy old jerseys too. Honestly, they in no way looked like a team that is worse than the current Sabres. The Canucks needed this win and the Yotes won it. Coyotes have a better team game and even with hardly any scorers up front Tippet has his guys play hard nightly. I'm looking at Edmonton's schedule and they have a lot of games on the road. Quote
WildCard Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 So are the Pred's the classic President Trophy winners? Playing for the wrong cup? Quote

Rasmus_ Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Arizona won last night, adding some distance. Nice showing overall by Mike Smith. Now if Edmonton could win a game or three. Quote

Iron Crotch Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) So are the Pred's the classic President Trophy winners? Playing for the wrong cup? The Preds are free falling. 5 straight losses. David Poille put together a team that is built for the regular season - long on smaller, skilled players and short of size and snarl. He traded a first rounder for Santorelli and Franson - two more finesse players. Franson was needed due to lack of depth on defense due to injuries, but Santorelli has been a disaster. The Preds were better off with Jokinen. Leave it to David Poille to ###### up a good roster with too many moves. I think he messed up the chemistry of the team. (I was at the Preds - Isles game last night) Edited March 6, 2015 by Borscht Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 6, 2015 Author Report Posted March 6, 2015 Nathan MacKinnon suffered a broken foot and will miss 6-8 weeks for the rest of the regular season. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Nathan MacKinnon suffered a broken foot and will miss 6-8 weeks for the rest of the regular season. Welp, combine that with Mark Giordano being out for the season, Kyle Okposo still out on IR, and Gustav Nyquist being bumped to the 3rd line with Cole's arrival, my fantasy season should take a marked turn for the worse. (I was at the Preds - Isles game last night) Your description of the Preds reminds me an awful lot of the 2007 Sabres: solid-to-great goal-tending and small/speedy offensive players on a team with depth. Those same Sabres crashed at the end of the season, barely made it to the ECF, and then, well.... It's what has me excited about Murray: he recognizes you can win in the regular season with a team like that, but it's completely useless in a much more physical playoffs. It doesn't take a genius to see the similarities in the Kings, Bruins, Hawks, and Rangers. Early Cup Finals prediction; Rangers and Blues. Edited March 6, 2015 by WildComrade Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Dougy, Ducky, and Kaner. Cool. Hoss Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Marchand scores with 14 seconds to go in the third to tie it and then wins it in OT on a garbage goal that went off a Flyer's skate. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Great game. I don't want Fla in the playoffs Quote
bunomatic Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 Dion Phaneuf absolutely unloaded a beauty hit on TJ Oshie tonight. Nice clean shoulder on shoulder hit. Followed by the usual bullspit payback crap that seems to happen after even the clean hits. Quote
