Claude_Verret Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Carter gets a stick in the face in the corner and not a fan moves. The facial expressions don't even change. True fans and loyal, they are, in La La Land. Still, ###### NYC. Noticed the same thing. Quote
... Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 OMG. Did the Rangers hire Derek Roy as a dive consultant? Quote
Iron Crotch Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Stoll definitely had something to say to Lundquist there. ;) Quote
wjag Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 What a glorious short handed opportunity And then Kreider shoots it wide on the break away Quote
Eleven Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 What a glorious short handed opportunity And then Kreider shoots it wide on the break away He's only good going straight in with someone on his back. Quote
Taro T Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 He's only good going straight in with someone on his back. Fully expected his wipeout to take out Quick's legs. (And fully expected wipeout when he hit blueline.) Impressed that he veered away. Quote
... Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I don't know if I can handle yet another fricking OT period this year. Quote
Eleven Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I don't know if I can handle yet another fricking OT period this year. I am trying to keep the lids up. I know tomorrow's Sunday, but I'm still tired (and I have to be somewhere by 10 for a volunteer thing). I don't know that I'm going to see 2OT. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Great game, but I'm getting tired. Hope someone scores soon. Quote
Eleven Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I can't do it any longer. Good night all. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Switched to Steel Panther on sound for this OT. "It Won't Suck Itself" on now... Quote
Iron Crotch Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Kings win again in OT. The Captain Brown with the tip. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I guess the whole superstition with pia singing held true, what a game, kings just can't stay down Quote
Huckleberry Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Dunno was against new york winning, but looking at first two games, they deserve alot more then this. And that 3rd goal had interference all over it. Quote
LaLaLaFontaine Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 This is hard. First two sc final games decided in OT and your team looses both after they had two goal leads before. Poor Rangers. Quote
Kristian Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) I'm thinking maybe the Rangers should try and let the Kings go up by two next game, cause being up by two sure isn't working for them. Like watching the Sabres with a 2-0 lead. Edited June 8, 2014 by Kristian Quote
Jsixspd Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Yeah. Getting out to a 2-0 lead against the Kings in the 1st is almost the kiss of death. I think they've won every playoff game that's happened in. Wow, didn't intend to jinx the Rangers - who woulda thunk it could happen again???? Quote
X. Benedict Posted June 8, 2014 Author Report Posted June 8, 2014 Very entertaining game. What I love about the pace is how much speed both clubs generate through middle ice. I love how the LA forwards plAy with possession. Before the series I was wondering if NY belonged out there. They do, but that might not help the outcome. Quote
Eleven Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 The LA forwards had no possession during the first two periods. It seemed lopsided until the third. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 The LA forwards had no possession during the first two periods. It seemed lopsided until the third. It's been like that through both games, and the kings can't keep doing that, eventually they will dig a hole too deep to come out of, in OT the rags had the better of the chances I thought too, but who cares, go Kings!!! On a side note, the kings are the first team in history to be down by 2, 3 playoff game in a row and come back to win, just keep building that resiliency resume Quote
X. Benedict Posted June 8, 2014 Author Report Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) The LA forwards had no possession during the first two periods. It seemed lopsided until the third. The third and overtime though.... Just to be clear though, when they have the puck they get it to the scoring areas. We don't see that in Buffalo much. Edited June 8, 2014 by X. Benedict Quote
Eleven Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 The third and overtime though.... Just to be clear though, when they have the puck they get it to the scoring areas. We don't see that in Buffalo much. There's a scoring area now? I thought there was just a defensive zone. Quote
X. Benedict Posted June 9, 2014 Author Report Posted June 9, 2014 There's a scoring area now? I thought there was just a defensive zone. What I consider high scoring areas is the slot between the circles and the area below towards the net. LA works hard to get pucks to the slot and the crease and just pounds it. Most of NY shots are from inside and outside the circles. Shot chart: http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/gamecast?gameId=400560755 Quote
