Eleven
Montreal hosts the Rangers in just a few hours. Ghost of Dwight Drane
I had the final 4 in the preseason, but never made a cup prediction.... still don't know who wins. Both series can easily go 7. I'm rooting for the Rangers. They made it this far with their powerplay showing up for only 2 games. I'm guessing 4 OT games all ending 3-2. I blame the friggin' CRA. I have said it before and I'll say it again ... the cup winning confetti will be bleu, blanc et rouge.
Wyldnwoody44
The cup will end up in the western conference this year..... Both Montreal and NY have impressed but I don't think they can keep up with either LA or Chicago, only saving grace is if Montreal wins and the kings go 7 games again, then that's gonna be an awfully tires LA team

nfreeman
I'm wholly on board with "semifinals," which, in addition to being old school, is correct. "Conference finals" is a combination of empty, new-age hype and the "let's give everyone a trophy" philosophy.

26CornerBlitz
I'm wholly on board with "semifinals," which, in addition to being old school, is correct. "Conference finals" is a combination of empty, new-age hype and the "let's give everyone a trophy" philosophy. Only problem with your thinking is that the NHL actually calls this round "Conference Finals" and awards Conference Championship Trophies to the winners in this round. The NHL is anything but new age. Edited May 18, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz
