Bob Malooga Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 Yes, 3 of his goals came in a hat-trick yesterday. Teddy Nolan is showing exactly why he deserves to be an NHL coach again...he sure knows how to get his men playing. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 I know we had the IIHF U20's in 2011, but it'd be nice to get the Men's here too sometime. Quote

WildCard Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 Has anyone seen how Myers has been playing? Quote
Kristian Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Has anyone seen how Myers has been playing? I've seen a couple of Team Canada's game - He's been insignifcant, you wouldn't notice him on the ice if he wasn't as tall as he is. Usually that's a good thing for a defenseman though, and I'm not sure what role Myers is supposed to play on this team, but I haven't seen him rush the puck, or do anything on offense so far. So again, take your pick - He's been either brilliant, or invisible. Edited May 21, 2014 by Kristian Quote
X. Benedict Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 McCabe sees 99 seconds of ice time with Lavi in US loss. Novotny with 2A http://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/387/IHM387357_74_3_0.pdf Quote

shrader Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 There was never one in Buffalo? was there? Maybe with Washington? Yeah, I looked up his numbers and he did see some time in Washington over two seasons before he headed back to Europe. What I didn't realize is that he was only 19 when we traded Varada for him. I figured he'd be well into his 30s by now but he's only 29. Quote
Kristian Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) And Myers just got an assist on Finlands 3-2 quarter final goal. Sabre-esque giveaway. Turned out to be the gamewinner. So long Canada. Edited May 22, 2014 by Kristian Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 Tyler Myers really can't think the game at a fast enough pace sometimes. I truly believe that is his biggest problem. Quote

LGR4GM Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 Or he thinks too much. Which is part of my point. Players can slow the game down because they don't have to think about it. They see a situation and in .0001 seconds their brains have calculated a set of possible outcomes. Myers brain seems to take longer to figure it out. This is just a theory but I don't think he can process the game at high speeds on a regular basis. Quote
