Derrico Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 (edited) Atleast someone outside the top 5 didn't win, I wouldn't want to pick sixth this year. As Bob said there is a consensus top 5 so either we get dal colle or another possible ball in the mcdavid lottery Edited April 16, 2014 by Derrico Quote
sicknfla Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 We now officially welcome you to Buffalo Tim Murray!! PLEASE do not factor luck into our rebuild. Build this team whatever way you feel needed but please don't count on McDavid. Quote

deluca67 Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 That'll make Murray get that forward. I may be happier now. Florida has drafted D in the first round three of the last five years. Quote

Iron Crotch Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Florida has drafted D in the first round three of the last five years. They'll take Bennett. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Atleast someone outside the top 5 didn't win, I wouldn't want to pick sixth this year. As Bob said there is a consensus top 5 so either we get dal colle or another possible ball in the mcdavid lottery This was probably my biggest fear so that is great that they get either 2 in the top 5 or another ball for next year... kishoph Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Maybe if we offer Florida Ville Leino, they'll swap picks with us. Quote

As Bob said there is a consensus top 5 so either we get dal colle or another possible ball in the mcdavid lottery I agree. At the end of the day I am some how okay with this. There isn't a consensus at the top and now the spotlight is somewhat off of us. Could end up helping us out idk but I am not really upset because of this. Quote

Hoss Posted April 16, 2014 Author Report Posted April 16, 2014 Florida has drafted D in the first round three of the last five years. But none of them are legitimate anchor dmen. Ekblad might not be either, but Gudbranson is the only high pick of the d they have and he doesn't look special in any way. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Why does everyone automatically assume the Isles will be a lottery team next year? They could easily make the playoffs with some goaltending. Quote
Nitro60 Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 I get the gnawing feeling in my gut that the NHL gods will thumb their noses to the Sabres and they don't get the number 1 selection. Quote
pastajoe Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Maybe if we offer Florida Ville Leino, they'll swap picks with us. They would demand we give them our pick and they keep theirs for them to take Leino. Quote

TheMatrix31 Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Because they haven't fired Garth Snow yet. You can have all the high draft picks in the world, if you don't have the management to go along with it then those high draft picks don't mean jack. Quote

sicknfla Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Unbelievable. What is unbelievable about it. We just completed one of the worse seasons in NHL history. If this was 2015 we would have fans in utter disbelief right now. Put together the best damn team possible and play hockey. Whatever happens happens. Enough of this draft lottery crap. Quote
