Eleven Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 The matchups are official: Boston - Detroit Pittsburgh - Columbus Tampa - Montreal Philadelphia - NYR Colorado - Minnesota Anaheim - Dallas Chicago - St. Louis San Jose - Los Angeles Teams with home ice advantage are on the left. I think Detroit could upset Boston, and that Chicago vs. St. Louis series is going to be entertaining. Quote
WildCard Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Awesome, I was hoping someone would start a playoff thread soon. I'll take Boston Pitt Montreal NYR And Colorado Anaheim Chicago LA Quote

Hoss Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 (edited) You've got Philly and Chicago at home, but it should be NY and St. Louis. My picks: Boston Pittsburgh Tampa NYR Minnesota Anaheim St. Louis San Jose Edited April 13, 2014 by Tankalicious Quote
Derrico Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 You've got Philly and Chicago at home, but it should be NY and St. Louis. Ok I was very confused for a second. I know the blues have not been great down the stretch but I thought they had home ice. Man that's going to be a great series. Not sure the blues even make it out of the first round and therefore we need miller signing before the draft to end up with that late first. Quote

darksabre Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Boston was Detroit's b*tch this year. The Wings have the speed to push the tempo. They win by forcing Boston to make mistakes. Quote
beerme1 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Boston was Detroit's b*tch this year. The Wings have the speed to push the tempo. They win by forcing Boston to make mistakes. But how often do we see the dominant team in the regular season become the other teams ###### in the playoffs? If I we're betting on it my money would be on Boston. Now I'm going to puke. Quote

That's what they get for blowing their wad to end the regular season on top. Quote
TheMatrix31 Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Anybody but Boston or Philadelphia, obviously. ....but don't we get a boost in that pick if St. Louis makes it to the WCF? Quote

I set this up as a league for us to put in our own picks. I wouldn't mind a SabreSpace "consensus entry" in the public bracket challenge, but I'm not going to be the guy who tries to obtain that consensus here! Quote
WildCard Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Well I had to sign in through my NHL account so I'm Kirch937 for those wondering. In the Conference Finals I've got West: Anaheim vs. Colorado East: Montreal vs. Pittsburgh Cup Finals: Anaheim vs. Montreal Winner: Anaheim in 6 games, 37 goals Stanley Cup: Anaheim over Montreal Nice, I thought I would be alone on having Montreal go that far. I think they're the only team in the East, them and maybe NYR, that could beat Boston. Goal-tending baby Quote
Eleven Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 I have Chicago beating Montreal. Quote
Hoss Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Montreal seems to be a popular pick, for good reason. The East is tough. Without bias I would probably go with Boston, but I can't bring myself to it. Montreal has the talent. Pittsburgh could make a run, but they NEED Letang to play at a high level to do that. He cost them last year in the playoffs. MAF, too. I could see NY finally make a run just because Henrik, but I switched my pick from them to Montreal. Quote
