phil_soisson Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 no, last I checked ted is not on the ice allowing opposing skaters to give Hackett snow to the grill, taking unnecessary penalties and overall not competing. It's not Ted, it's what TM really thinks. I don't really believe, in spite of appearances, that TN was/ or is Murray's first choice. I have no evidence to support that, just a gut feeling when I watch and listen to Tim Murray. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 You mean when we traded our star goalie, captain, and leader in points per game? None of those things helped, for sure. But the team looks lifeless - even if they don't have the talent to score much. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Good news, the Islanders are winning 2-1, bad news Florida is losing to the Hurricanes 3-0 Isn't the Isles winning bad news as well? Quote
deluca67 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Since 2007? This team should be getting blown out in every game it plays. The fact that it hasn't been is a testament to the counter; these guys do care and do work hard, they just aren't good. It's a testament to the goal-tending. Quote
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 see what happens when they actually try? Quote
inkman Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Risto making me feel like there I at least one reason to watch this game Quote
darksabre Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 It's a testament to the goal-tending. That as well. I've been enjoying the posters here who have seen Lieuwen and Hackett and now think we have depth. Yeah, sure. Quote
wonderbread Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Risto makes the game not a total loss Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Leave it to Risto to do something - he's one of the bright spots on the team. BTW, he has 2 more goals than Leino in less than half as many games played - and he's a DEFENSE-man. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Not only do the St Louis Blues play much better hockey, but they are also having a Star Wars Night at the game tonight. Quote
darksabre Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Rasmus didn't get the memo about not trying or caring apparently. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I love how the 2 emergency call ups made that happen And Hodgson is starting to tick me off, I own his jersey and am not a hater, but he's clearly not playing anywhere near his capabilities Quote

Brawndo Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) Did anyone notice Leino is not on the bench for the 2nd Period? I didn't think so. Edited March 28, 2014 by BRAWNDO Quote

deluca67 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Did anyone notice Leino is not on the bench for the 2nd Period? I didn't think so. Maybe Nolan shot Leino in the dressing room between periods to make a point. Quote

Robviously Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Isn't the Isles winning bad news as well? No. First thing's first, make sure we finish dead last. After that, the Isles can finish anywhere from 2nd to 5th. And I wouldn't mind them letting us have their pick this year, which seems a lot more likely if they're 4th or 5th overall. Quote
darksabre Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 My phone tells me Mike Weber scored then changed its mind. :( Quote
deluca67 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Buying the jersey of a player before he's a proven commodity is maybe a poor choice. Imagine all those that own Leino jerseys. Quote
