bunomatic Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 there's nobody left on this team to make it better. This isn't about the coach. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 And on an unrelated note, the Blues are up 2-0 over the Wild at the end of the 1st. :) Quote
phil_soisson Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I wonder if a string of games like tonight to end the season would cause Tim Murray to take that contract offer to Nolan off the table? I think that's entirely possible. It's not just lack of talent, it's a very apparent lack of hustle or commitment from a team on which no one should feel safe. Quote
... Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Yay team! Missed the first, looks like I missed a barn burner. Quote

This team is playing tonight like many of them know they wont be around next season. One period of one game shows all of that? It's been on downward slope for some time now. Quote

Nitro60 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Nolan ripped them a new on the bench. The response? APATHY. These guys have quit on themselves and each other. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If you look back at the calendar, the wheels really fell off this team about the time that PLF "resigned". Coincidence? Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Maybe the opposite is true. This team is playing tonight like many of them know they wont be around next season. It's been on downward slope for some time now. Could be, just walked in checked the score 0-3, then before I could get the TV on it was 4-0 and they were on a PK. Final shot and the guys let their goalie catch a snowstorm. Like Brad May said on the intermission, common guys, deck the guy. Don't let that happen, where is your heart. Stuff like that is why my wife calls me a goon. Not on my watch. Quote
bunomatic Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Jesus. Look at the size of the mitts on Brad May. Quote
deluca67 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 12 different Preds have recorded a point tonight in the first period. That has to be close to a record. Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Remember like 2 months ago when someone started a thread about the tank being "complete"? THIS is what completing a tank looks like. And it's f***ing ugly. The tank is complete because THIS is the product of 18 months of roster purging. Since I made that topic, they haven't done anything to the roster, that was my point. It's time to rebuild, because no matter what this year and next year are gonna be hideously ugly. Quote

I hope not... but you may be right... worried about TP and his front office, which brings up the meddling charges... , sorry couldn't resist poking the lion during such a miserable game. Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If a opposing team gave a snow shower to Ryan Miller, the Blues would be ALL over them!!!! Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If you look back at the calendar, the wheels really fell off this team about the time that PLF "resigned". Coincidence? You mean when we traded our star goalie, captain, and leader in points per game? Quote

Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I hate the new Labatt bear commercials - they were kind of funny when he talked. Quote

It's been on downward slope for some time now. Since 2007? This team should be getting blown out in every game it plays. The fact that it hasn't been is a testament to the counter; these guys do care and do work hard, they just aren't good. Edited March 28, 2014 by d4rksabre Quote
North Buffalo Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Good news, the Islanders are winning 2-1, bad news Florida is losing to the Hurricanes 3-0 Quote
