MattPie Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 The needs of the parent club outweigh those of the farm club. The Sabres don't have a lot of talent, and watching them play can be maddening, but you dress the best guys in the organization. Although I agree with this, by helping the Amerks make the playoffs it will give some of our young guys some playoff experience which in turn will help the Sabres down the road. I think it's very important for guys like Risto and Pysyk to play in the AHL playoffs and there's a good chance Grigo's junior team will be eliminated soon and he can get some AHL playoff hockey in this season too. I would be totally fine with the Sabres going with Hackett and Markov or someone on the big club and sending back Risto. If, and it's a big if, there's any real traction to the league being upset about "tanking", this would be a red flag. And that's before we get into issues with roster size and whether some of these guys have NHL contracts. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Predators? RE-ENGAGE THE TANK CATS!! ...AND ACTIVATE AIR SUPPORT CATS!! Some of our best cat pilots have been participating in classified aeronautics research. Our research on feline behavior in microgravity has been fruitful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9XtK6R1QAk As a result, a new technology has emerged for domination of the complex battle environment. UNLEASH THE ROCKET CATS!! Quote

Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Nice Job Physics.... I now want to start a league where rich men own teams, send a bomber up to 90,000 feet, and play 4 on 4 weightless handball with a cat.... Quote

ROC Sabres Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 I'll be at the game, of course... my dilemma is who to root for? Leino of course. Cheer for the tank commander! Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I hope the reason Mitchell is sitting is because he is the worst passer I've ever seen. that takes some doing on a team like the Sabres filled with poor passers. LOL Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Well, the Sabres are behind already. the Tank's engine is getting warmed up! Quote
Norcal Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 McBain is a worthless prick Unless he's driving the tank I guess Quote
Nitro60 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Bad news: Sabres down 1-0. Good news: only 10 games left in the season. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Unbelievable!!!!! This is beyond bad! Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Nice job by Erroroff on that 2nd goal BTW. Quote
beerme1 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Hoo boy. Ok so Talinder retires and we do buy Erhoff out with Leino over the summer I guess. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Bad news: Sabres down 1-0. Good news: only 10 games left in the season. I've got even better news - only 9 games left after this stinkfest! ugh!!! Quote
Nitro60 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 For a group of guys playing for their NHL careers...this is a poor effort so far. 3 goals so easily scored. No one being moved out of the way. No hustle. Forwards drifting back instead of skating hard back on defense. Total defensive collapse. I can see easily 12 new starters next season. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 First game I've watched in what feels like weeks and wow are WE F##CKN BAD Ehrhoff has mailed it in, most of the team has Quote
