kishoph Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) It would be nice to see Tyler Myers back in the line-up, his ability to start a rush out of his own end has been surely missed. IMO, not being able to gain control of the puck and start any kind of a rush up ice is the biggest problem with this teams offensive woes. I can't understand why some of the defensemen continue to just toss the puck into the neutral zone in hopes of a forward retrieving it, instead of skating a few feet more and gradually moving the puck up. There's very few players on this team that will keep the puck in their possession for more than a second or two, instead they just whack the puck in basically any direction as soon as it hits their sticks. I have a hard time believing that it's all do to a lack of skill, after all these are NHL (some AHL) players, I'd say it's more due to lack of confidence, coaching, or just not giving a ######. CallawaySabres Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Montreal played a great, inspired game last night that was awesome to watch. I can't even remember what it feels like to care if this team wins or loses (let alone have an atmosphere like it was in Boston last night.) Montreal is going to run over our guys tonight as they will springboard off that emotional win. It is getting tougher and tougher to even look at that lineup posted above...... Quote

Robviously Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 At this point of the season, it's just not giving a ######. Which sounds about right when you're 30th in the league. Sabres fans should take everything they see -- good and bad -- for the rest of the season with a grain of salt. Quote
dEnnis the Menace Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Gotta get to the gym early so that I can get home in time. No reason not to watch tonight, as I've missed the last 3 or so games. Definitely need a hockey fix (why am I looking to Sabres for that? idk). Quote
sicknfla Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 I'd say 9 of the players currently on the Sabres should be in the AHL or not playing at all. That is being generous. I was thinking more like 12-13. Quote

If anything I expect the exact opposite reaction from last nights game. I think they will be physically and emotionally spent and come out like dogs. I still think they win, just not this springboard effect. Quote
