bunomatic Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I urge all the fans at the game to start cheering extra hard for Nathan Lieuwen, a 6th round pick from 2011 playing in his first NHL game. Tim Murray likes the big goaltenders. I hope he does good. Quote
Robviously Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 ^^^ +1 It's like Roby was saying during the break, it's a big opportunity for Nathan to impress! Tim Murray likes the big goaltenders. I hope he does good. I don't care how bad the team is, it's exciting to see someone reach their life-long goal of playing in the NHL -- especially when it's a total surprise. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Fixed. What's with the McBain negativity? To paraphrase Terry Pegula.... "WHAT DID HE DO WRONG???!!!!" I mean, other than generally sucking, and helping take out our star goalie, and such? Edited March 17, 2014 by Jsixspd Quote
Nitro60 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I concur. Happy Liewun gets to live out his dream. Quote
K-9 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Anybody else liking Deslauriers as much as I do? GO SABRES!!! Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted March 17, 2014 Author Report Posted March 17, 2014 Thomas Vanek Tribute (3/16/14) <1:06> Highlight reel of former Sabres captain Thomas Vanek that played at First Niagara Center on March 16, 2014. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Conacher gets his ass kicked in front of the net a lot . Would like to see our pacifist defensemen do the same to the Canadiens. He's too small, but since he's a local boy, it's OK. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Anybody else liking Deslauriers as much as I do? GO SABRES!!! Yes Quote
Mustache of God Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 With our current on-ice roster right now I think we could field maybe one line of players who actually belong in the NHL. Just how much worse can we get? Quote
Brawndo Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 With our current on-ice roster right now I think we could field maybe one line of players who actually belong in the NHL. Just how much worse can we get? There still are 14 games left, wait and see Quote
... Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Hodgson had a nice period. (I WONDER IF IT WAS HIS FIRST PERIOD, SIZZLE) Maybe he'll have his panties bronzed. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Nice job of Leino getting the puck, and immediately awkward passing it into a Hab's skates. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Anybody else liking Deslauriers as much as I do? GO SABRES!!! I don't want to sound like a ###### or anything... but I'd really like to make love to him. (obscure movie reference) Edited March 17, 2014 by Potato Quote
mjd1001 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I urge all the fans at the game to start raining garbage down on the players and especially Pegula. I wouldn't go that far. it seems to me that most fans want the Sabres to go with this rebuild, and are going to be happy with the high pick this year and probably next. That DOESN'T happen unless you get a team like the Sabres have now. If the team wasn't bad enough, you would not get those picks. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Great work by Leino... again. Taking the puck away from him is like taking it away from a small child. Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted March 17, 2014 Author Report Posted March 17, 2014 The kid covers quite a bit of the net! Quote
... Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Hodgson; wondering if he should add extra sugar to his Cap'n Crunch cereal tomorrow morning to ensure an extra perky day. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 We don't even look like an NHL team. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Nathan made a nice save on Vanek! That's nice to see if nothing else Quote
... Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 The Saybuhrs are starting to look gassed. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) LOL - I think there's less chance of Leino doing damage to the Sabres if he just stands there like a pylon. Edited March 17, 2014 by Jsixspd Quote
jad1 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 We don't even look like an NHL team. That's because this isn't an NHL team. They'll be lucky to win 2 games the rest of the year. Quote
... Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 OMG, Nolan, Leino and Hodgson as your forward pair? Foligno is playing like hot garbage tonight. Quote
Jeanbe Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 I just hope someone gets the kid a game puck for his first NHL game. Quote
