26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2014 Author Report Posted March 14, 2014 3 games worth of shots against in a single game... pathetic. @SabresStats Since being traded to the Blues, Ryan Miller has faced 120 shots in 5 games. Poor Michal Neuvirth has faced 99 in 2 games with the #Sabres. Quote

Claude_Verret Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Ehrhoff was definitely not feeling the tank tonight. When Gerbe potted the ENG right in front of me, the Hoff screamed out three straight F bombs and slammed his stick against the boards. Quote

Jsixspd Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) @SabresStats Since being traded to the Blues, Ryan Miller has faced 120 shots in 5 games. Poor Michal Neuvirth has faced 99 in 2 games with the #Sabres. I think both Neuvirth and Enroth have quite a bit better SVG % than Miller since the trade. Yet Ryan is now 5-1 since joining the Blues. I was just watching the Blues play the flames - Miller gave up 2 goals in something like 25 shots but.... the Blues scored FOUR goals in the 3rd period to give St. Louis a 6-2 win. Ryan doesn't even have to work as hard for better results. Edited March 14, 2014 by Jsixspd Quote
darksabre Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Sabres Facebook is saying that Neuvirth is the first Sabres goalie to make 50+ saves in a game since Hasek in '96. Accurate? Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The people who don't like him here think that the people who do like him here think he's our best player. Yikes. @SabresStats Since being traded to the Blues, Ryan Miller has faced 120 shots in 5 games. Poor Michal Neuvirth has faced 99 in 2 games with the #Sabres. This is inaccurate. He has faced 98 shots. He wasnt in the net for the Gerbe empty netter. Quote

Two or less Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I am not sure Murray is in sync with Tank Nation. If he adds a few solid vet free agents, it will show that he wants to turn this around quicker than most expect. Until he trades Stafford and/or Ennis away. I think Murray is 100% in on the tank. Hoss Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Until he trades Stafford and/or Ennis away. I think Murray is 100% in on the tank. And his comments fully support the thought that he's in on it. Quote
Kristian Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The Sabres have been inept for a long time, it's not just this year. But they've perfected inept this year. Thank god they're not mediocre anymore. I can't stand mediocre - At least "full-fledged suck mode" has a chance of bringing you some assets. Quote
Huckleberry Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Only saw one period last night, but in Hodgons defense, he has been playing with AHL'rs on his line for most of the years. Quote
kishoph Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The people who don't like him here think that the people who do like him here think he's our best player. I can't say I don't like Hodgson, I think he has a lot of talent, but some things he's doing right now are the same things that people are still roasting Stafford for. His "compete" has been soft and at times he looks like his head is not in the game, or that he's just uninterested. He has great vision for the ice and he's not using it, the shot from far out on the boards last night was a great example and that's not the only time he's done something like that. The thing that does make me mad about Hodgson, is I know he can be, such a better player and possibly the best forward on the Sabres. Only saw one period last night, but in Hodgons defense, he has been playing with AHL'rs on his line for most of the years. I wouldn't say most of the year, he was on the top line with Vanek or Moulson for a long time. Still a "great" player should bring up his linemates game, not sink down to their level. He needs to become a leader and not a floater follower. Quote

North Buffalo Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Ehrhoff was definitely not feeling the tank tonight. When Gerbe potted the ENG right in front of me, the Hoff screamed out three straight F bombs and slammed his stick against the boards. Yeh, but he was the one who got the stick on Stall's skate that led to the tying goal. Granted Stall went down like a bag of pucks after barely being touched, still he had to know. I was worried last night up until that point the Sabres were playing pretty well. Afterwards it was full on tank. Can't have enough losses this year. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The 4th period??? Lol. LOL - doh!!!! Quote
DumbPuck Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) This is the second NHL Facebook post in the past week mentioning Ehrhoff getting "undressed". The last one was Patrick Kane... now Skinner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MwVVDjIYck&cmpid=nhl-fb Edited March 14, 2014 by DontPatTheGerbe Quote
Marvelo Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I think Errorhoff is beyond frustrated. He's beyond caring too. Almost completely demoralized. I wouldn't be surprised if demands a trade. I wouldn't mind seeing him leave....it would be a relief. Him and Leino are All Pigula. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Important note - as of the morning of 3/14, we're 27 points behind the 2nd seeded wildcard team- Philly -46 to 73 - with 16 games (32 points) left. 3 more losses, and the Sabres are mathematically eliminated from 2014 playoff contention. That will be an important Tank Milestone right there. AND.... at the current pace - in March they've lost 5 out of the 6 games they've played - this could come as early as Tuesday's game against Calgary. Quote

Iron Crotch Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Glad I chose not to watch last night. Sounds like I didn't miss much aside from another craptastic road outing. Quote
