kishoph Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) I swear it looked like that ref had his arm up even before the "slash" by Ennis landed. Outshout 22 to 4 and Neuvirth goes into a zone and keeps the Sabres in it. Edited March 14, 2014 by kishoph Quote
Claude_Verret Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Have discussed concept of tank with a few canes fans sitting near me. They do not understand. It does not compute. Quote
Jsixspd Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 35 shots, and 34 saves by Nordberg, and we've only completed 40 minutes? That's crazy. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Have discussed concept of tank with a few canes fans sitting near me. They do not understand. It does not compute. When the Sabres win two cups in four years, then they will understand. Quote
LastPommerFan Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Have discussed concept of tank with a few canes fans sitting near me. They do not understand. It does not compute. Right. Are they all just, "Why don't you y'all just win the Stanley Cup instead? I mean, that's what we did..." Quote
Doohicksie Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Deslauriers is playing hungry. I like that. Quote
... Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Many of you may recall my ardent defense of the fans...well, this is the second game I've watched recently where the crowd is just dead even though the game, in itself, isn't bad. Quote
Gramps Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Leino is using his shooting stick tonight! And after 2+ periods, Leino has no shots on goal. Quote

Hoss Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 18 goals on 62 penalty shots doesn't seem like a high percentage reward for being interfered with on a breakaway. I'm sure when the goalies and their equipment didn't take up 60% of the net, a penalty shot was a bigger deal. Maybe they should award a minute long penalty with it also, no matter the outcome of the shot. Any thoughts ? Should be like the NBA clear path foul. Penalty shot and a PP. With one tweak: if you score on the penalty shot you don't get the PP. Quote

MILFHUNTER#518 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Is it just me or has Tank Commander Ville Leino played a comparable game to Christian Erhoff? Quote
Brawndo Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I am all for the tank, but Neuvirth deserves this for his first win as a Sabre. Quote
Doohicksie Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Ouch. STAFFORD really got on his horse to negate the 2-on-1. Way to go. Quote
Nitro60 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 5 power plays and they finally get burned. This is a better game than the last. Quote

MILFHUNTER#518 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 well, that was a most unfortunate turn of events... Quote
Doohicksie Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Goaltender interference much? Neuvirth thought so. Quote
... Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 agreed, he has def been a pleasant surprise. He is playing like he WANTS to be here I feel compelled to send Neuvirth a box of chocolates with a nice letter explaining how it will get better and to not lose hope. Quote
