WildCard Posted December 21, 2014 Author Report Posted December 21, 2014 Per Adam Shefter via Bleacher Report via TBD on Cutler Trade. This is a direct quote from a poster on TBD, so I can do this, right? Several NFL executives believe that it’s possible for Bears QB Jay Cutler to go from being benched to becoming a first-scenario, test-case trade. Never before has a team trading a player also had to give up drat-pick compensation to get rid of him. But some NFL executives believe that with any team having to absorb $25.5 million worth of guarantees in Cutler’s contract, the Bears might have to package a decent draft pick to get another team to take him. NFL rules dictate that nominal compensation must be exchanged between teams, but it could mean another team surrendering a late-round pick to Chicago for Cutler and a better pick. Such a scenario could enrage Bears fans, but to get a team to take on so much guaranteed money that could be used on valuable free agents and contract extensions, the Bears just might have to compensate a team with more than Cutler to do it.
Hoss Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 I think that report is completely bogus. He has two years of guaranteed money left. He's still a talented QB and many teams will view him as such. Garbage.
JujuFish Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 To add more salt to the wound, before last night, the Chargers had won only 1 of the 44 games they've been in when down by 20+ at the half.
inkman Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Finding it really hard to root for the Steelers. I hate them so much.

SwampD Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 I love football, but I absolutely can't stand any of the Sunday Morning Football Flap shows. Put on the game a couple of minutes early, only to see six or seven guys standing on a faux football field acting like they are funny,… just brutal.
Iron Crotch Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Not me. Go Steelers. I'll root for the Steelers. I just want a rare chance to see the Bills final game actually mean something. Watch us lose to Oakland now...
TrueBlueGED Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 I'll root for the Steelers. I just want a rare chance to see the Bills final game actually mean something. Watch us lose to Oakland now... If we lose to Oakland and then beat New England, that pretty much epitomizes Buffalo sports, right?
wjag Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 The Texans are embarrassing the Ravens through 30 minutes. Do you believe?
ubkev Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Orton hasn't thrown an incomplete pass yet.
Hoss Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Orton hasn't thrown an incomplete pass yet. Except that one after the review.
JJFIVEOH Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Didn't take long for me to remember why I didn't miss Spiller.
inkman Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Didn't take long for me to remember why I didn't miss Spiller. Always making nothing out of something
Guest Sloth Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Want the QB situation to be fixed, but how is really possible for a significant improvement for the 14-15 season? Reportedly the NFL would allow Chicago to trade Cutler and a high round draft pick to a team for almost nothing. Believe they'd have to give up a late round pick for the trade to be considered nominal. Cutler's contract is a heavy hit. That is what makes things interesting. I'd prefer the Bills D' to stay intact as possible. So no, I do not want Cutler to be a Bill. Buffalo's QB struggles will continue for another season. Unless EJ can get things going next year....
ubkev Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 The Bills are going to survive this game. All the teams we need to lose are going to lose. Then next week New England is going to skull ###### them up and down the field for 3 hours without mercy. It's going to be the most epic beating ever. This week against the Jets they played possum. Next week is going to be a ####### that only Ned Beatty or the cast of Oz could possibly understand.
inkman Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 The Bills are going to survive this game. Don't be so sure
Guest Sloth Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Why do they have to keep showing the 'forward pass' from the Bills/ Titans playoff in 2000?
Hoss Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 You have THREE TIMEOUTS. If you ever said Kyle Orton is better than Jay Cutler take a lap.
Iron Crotch Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 There you go, Kyle. Throw a 1 yard pass on 3rd and 10. Don't even look for someone past the chains. Dick.
