26CornerBlitz Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 03/11 – GAME PREVIEW: Preds close out back-to-back games in Buffalo (Jimi Russell – Nashville Predators) Quote
... Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I'd rather be living in Nashville than Buffalo, but, le sigh, I will probably always be a Sabres fan. Quote
darksabre Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 So who is ready to lose this game tonight and then get assaulted by a massive March snowstorm? I know I am. Quote
dEnnis the Menace Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 That southern education system paying off. still better than the North's common core... Quote
Eleven Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 still better than the North's common core... It's not just a northern thing; it's 46 states. Quote
grinreaper Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Apparently we are in a full scale rebuild... who knew? http://www.onthefore...n=articlebottom It contains this rather accurate quote. It also contains this rather inaccurate quote. Heck, three times this season they've tried to assign a player to the minors, and that player has refused to report, the latest being defenseman Rusty Klesla, who was picked up at the Trade Deadline from Phoenix. I think they're lumping Grigorenko in with Omark and Klesla--isn't that about right? (Yes, Grigo eventually changed his mind.) Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Six points back, one game in hand. We need to keep building that lead. Recent victory on the Florida battlefield allowed us to recover secret cat technology, which will be deployed in battle against the Predators. RELEASE THE TANK CATS!! ONWARD!! Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I always look forward to IKP's contribution to the GDT in particular and contributions elsewhere on the board. Well done. Are they yours? Quote
qwksndmonster Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 They're definitely his. He's a crazy cat physicist. Quote

MattPie Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Oh how I wish they'd poll for what song the Sabres should skate out to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-kqAfffOfHY#t=25 Edited March 11, 2014 by MattPie Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) There's a lot of good tank music. From the movies, I like Patton. Not from the movies, but seemingly often used, I like Holst's Mars. You could definitely sample that composition for game situations. And now that I think about it, I think a lot of marching bands play it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0bcRCCg01I Oh, and of course the cats aren't mine. Edited March 11, 2014 by IKnowPhysics Quote

dEnnis the Menace Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 they should just drop Leino to the 4th line and move Konopka or Ellis up. At least they're not 120% useless. Quote
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 It's always weird to me when people from Buffalo criticize the south. The two regions are on opposite trajectories, and not in a good way for our little city. The Predators haven't been playing great and played last night. Tonight should be a Sabres win. Just thinking about how prosperous NYS as a whole was just 40-50 years ago compared to now is enough to drive a man to drink. Until NYS cleans up its act we have no right to poo poo on anyone's salad. Well, anyone except Detroit that is... Quote

I have to believe that earlier in the year, you keep Leino playing with good players and pray that something flickers and he starts scoring making him attractive for a trade. Now, I suppose you could make the same argument but with a pre-draft trade. I can't imagine that they'd let compliance-buyout day pass with Ville still on the team, though. Quote

Iron Crotch Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I always root for the Sabres, but I might have to root for Nashville in this one out of self-interest. The Preds still have an outside shot at the playoffs and I want to see some live playoff hockey! Quote
