kas23 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Maybe one of them saved money on their car insurance? Being serious, I have a feeling Pegula is somehow involved. Considering Pegula seemingly randomly offered the GM job to PLF, despite him having zero experience as one, I have a feeling Pegula is meddling somehow. Quote
Brawndo Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 David Pagnotta @TheFourthPeriod 2m If 1 of the issues revolves around disagreement on Nolan's future, I can tell you Murray is very high on Luke Richardson, Binghamton's coach Quote
G-Daddy Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Maybe PLF and TM were on the same page regarding the trade, and it's TP (and Kim) and TB who were against it? Thereby the friction. But they all knew RM had to go, Ott might come back July 1. GMTM doing his job...leave him alone. Quote
X. Benedict Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I am probably reading WAY to much into this, but I found it interesting that it was Joe Battista VP of Hockey Ops telling Nolan to keep Miller and Ott out of the lineup last night and not Murray. Why would it be unusual? Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Omg! This is serious, I just read it on facebook now!!! Quote

Peppy22 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 The only reason for this can be the Nolan situation. The Trade was great there is no reason to get mad about this. Quote
wjag Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 We are in full, throw it at the wall and see what sticks, speculation mode... Quote
kas23 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Pat wasn't there on such a huge night, when Ryan Miller and Steve Ott are both traded? If true, that doesn't sound good at all. I didn't watch the Miller and Ott press conference, was anyone else there (PLF, Pegula, Murray)? If not, it would be extremely strange and concerning PLF wasn't there to break the news and wish them farewell. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 If this is true, and the issue is Nolan, this is precisely why I thought it was a bad idea to bring him back. Quote
Stoner Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Why would it be unusual? Battista's a HarborCenter dude, no? Quote
kas23 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I do have to say though, despite being in last place, its a very exciting time to be a Sabres fan. Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 As always with Buffalo sports, 1 step forward, 2 steps back Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 So if Ghost is right, Ted Black is leaking this to Bob. What would that suggest? Feel free to use the back of your paper. In the midst of this I get a 3 AM call-out from an AP writer? Quote
Brawndo Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 As always with Buffalo sports, 1 step forward, 2 steps back And I was starting to have more faith in the future of the Sabres than that of the Bills Quote
X. Benedict Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Battista's a HarborCenter dude, no? Murray pretty much said he was working the phones with Armstrong the entire time....if Battista happens to be in the room, send him downstairs, he's a VP. Edited March 1, 2014 by X. Benedict Quote
darksabre Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Please let it just be Nolan getting fired. I could live with that. But don't let Pat be going anywhere. Quote
Stoner Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 John Vogl @BuffNewsVogl 3m Woke to early morning text from friend asking if LaFontaine had been fired. Thought he was just drunk, ignored it. Now? Folo @BNHarrington Quote

TheMatrix31 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I can deal with a bad team. I can't deal with a distractionary, unsettled, cancerous embarrassment of one. Quote
kas23 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Murray pretty much said he was working the phones with Armstrong the entire time....if Battista happens to be in the room, send him downstairs, he's a VP. Yeah, I don't see a problem with this. He's the GM, he needs to delegate responsibilities. Quote
Stoner Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Please let it just be Nolan getting fired. I could live with that. But don't let Pat be going anywhere. If Nolan gets boned a second time here, there's not enough juju in the universe to overcome the ancient Indian burial ground hex that will fall upon that arena. Quote
wjag Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 So if PLF is out, then the trade now looks like: RM/SO/PLF for draft picks. Quote
kas23 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Please let it just be Nolan getting fired. I could live with that. But don't let Pat be going anywhere. He could be stepping down as a result of Nolan getting the boot. Wouldn't like either situation though. Quote
