TheMatrix31 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) I don't think Miller would come back here. What's the point of winning a Cup with a team you're joining at the deadline and no attachment to before going back to the city/team that bred you? I mean obviously yeah, you'd be winning a Cup but how much could it possibly mean? Maybe that's just the way I think. Would it be awesome? Of course. I doubt it. Ott, maybe. Hoss Posted March 1, 2014 Author Report Posted March 1, 2014 I thought Carrier was Syracuse? Founder is from Angola. Company is from Connecticut. Quote
wjag Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) I've been consistent in my opinion that any trade of Miller was going to be unsatisfactory to me. I don't see the blueprint to success when you trade all your good, seasoned players with ability for draft picks. Edited March 1, 2014 by wjag Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 used to be here.....the air conditioner invented in the same city it depopulated Lol, along with the rest of the North! Quote
wjag Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I think wjag is inconsolable right now. He needs a hug and a good cry. Probably true. I hate the Sabres tonight. Quote

wjag Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Maybe Murray isn't into building from the goal out? Good luck with that. Meanwhile, the Sabres with whats left of a once proud franchise have given up 30 SOGs in 2 periods while blistering the opponent with 11 of their own. Edited March 1, 2014 by wjag Quote

Brawndo Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Jeremy Rutherford @jprutherford 21s Miller will wear No. 39, Ott No. 29. #stlblues Quote
bunomatic Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 I like this trade if Ott comes back. Quote

carpandean Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Any body else just want to hear everything about Adam Vinz, our backup goalie tonight? He's my favorite part of this story so far. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/24461180/photo-sabres-call-on-emergency-backup-goalie-after-ryan-miller-trade What a moment for a former high school goalie. nfreeman Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 http://www.cbssports...an-miller-trade What a moment for a former high school goalie. Awesome. Would anyone be upset if Enroth pulled his groin? Quote
Eleven Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 While I agree with the basic point, I disagree with any notion that Rattie is enough himself to shift a rebuild a few years. Age. Draft picks in 2015 are 16 years old. Or 17 or whatever. Rattie is ready. Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Based on what Murray is saying, the Sabres could also get a 2014 1st from the Blues if Miller re-signs there. Edited March 1, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz Quote
nobody Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) So the 2014 could end up being a 1st? I'm guessing if the Blues win the Cup and re-sign Miller. I think I'm liking Timmy Murray even more. Edited March 1, 2014 by nobody Quote

I don't think one prospect who is still widely viewed as non quite ready (but very close) as changing a whole lot. I don't care if the prospect is Aleksander Barkov. It takes more than one guy to change years of a rebuild. Quote

Stoner Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Based on what Murray is saying, the Sabres could also get a 2014 1st from the Blues if Miller re-signs there. The whole conditional pick thing is not clear. But Murray just said conditional pick could be a first this year (best) to a third in 16 (worst). Quote
Hoss Posted March 1, 2014 Author Report Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) WOAH. Conditional pick changes everything. They got a 2015 first FOR SURE. The conditional pick can become a 2014 first if Miller resigns. That changes EVERYTHING. EDIT: 26 knows what's up. Edited March 1, 2014 by Tankalicious Quote
