LGR4GM Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Ghostbusters, Animal House, Caddyshack, Analyze This, hell even Year One... I am actually pretty saddened by this. http://www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/harold-ramis-dead?bftw Quote
apuszczalowski Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Sounds like Ghostbusters 3 won't be going ahead now, if it ever really was Quote
Rico7 Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 HIs movies and SCTV were a huge part of my youth and growing up. Sad day. RIP Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Maybe he'll wake up tomorrow at 6am and be fine. Quote
Campy Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 I still fantasize about getting my hands on an EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle. Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Horrible news. What an all-around talent and manager. He had the perfect balance of letting guys do their thing while keeping their egos in check. Quote

drnkirishone Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Maybe he'll wake up tomorrow at 6am and be fine. sad news and a true loss to comedy. But this made me smile. Well done sir well done Quote
deluca67 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 That you Harold, for all of the laughs. Quote
nfreeman Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I still go back and forth between Caddyshack and Animal House for best comedy of all time. And Stripes was also great. Godspeed. Quote
shrader Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I threw Ghostbusters on last night in honor. Tonight will be Caddyshack. I wish I could add Stripes into the rotation, but I don't think it is on Netflix, but I'll look. Quote

shrader Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 He also did the first Vacation with Chevy Chase. And reading through some stuff today, I had no idea that he directed Analyze This. It's a different era than the other movies, but still very good. His hits really look to have tailed off after Groundhog Day, but man, what a run he had. I could live a very happy life if I watched one Ramis movie a day. Another one I haven't seen mentioned yet is Back to School. I'll look the other way on Caddyshack 2. Quote

They had a Ramis day on one of the documentary channels only a few weeks ago. They did the makings of Caddyshack and Vacation that I watched and then gave up. I wonder if it was a little tribute knowing he was in rough shape? He just seemed like a down to earth guy that didn't let success turn him into a DB. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 RIP I will never forget when he was kidnapped by the "Leftists For Lutonia" and the powers that be never paid the ransom. High tension right there. Quote
