Stoner Posted February 26, 2014 Author Report Posted February 26, 2014 On a final note, they carried Paul Cyr out of the bar that evening. That's more than a bit haunting. Quote
nfreeman Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Now we're getting a bit far afield, but in a decent NYC celebrity sighting, earlier today, I saw John Slattery (the white-haired guy from "Mad Men" walking down the sidewalk outside my office. Quote

Claude_Verret Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 A nice article on former channel 7 sports anchor Rick Azar. 84 years young! I figured this was the best thread to post the link even though I have never had an encounter with him, my in laws who recently moved to the Pinehurst, NC area have run into him a few times. 25 years after leaving Channel 7, Rick Azar is as outspoken as ever He’s been off Channel 7 for 25 years, but Azar should still expect some fans to recognize him when he visits area restaurants later this month. If someone comes to his table now, he won’t be annoyed. “Are you kidding? At my age, I’d be thrilled if somebody recognizes me,” he said with a laugh. Quote
