Ivan's plan for the Sabres

If I were GM....

 

1a.) Call Edmonton and offer up Tyler Myers for Jordan Eberle. Myers has started playing better but we've seen that before. Move him while he has perceived value. Additonal assets may be required to complete the trade.

OR

1b.) Call Colorado and offer up Tyler Myers for Paul Stasny. Myers has started playing better but we've seen that before. Move him while he has perceived value. Additonal assets may be required to complete the trade.

2a.) Call Washington and offer up Ryan Miller for one of Washington's prized Russian prospects and then stick the newly acquired young Russian with Grigorenko in Rochester next year and let them play. Additonal assets may be required to complete the trade.

OR

2b.) Call Minnesota and offer up Ryan Miller for Granlund and then build the rest of the trade from there; Granlund becomes one of our Top6 forwards the minute he pulls on a Sabres sweater. Additonal assets may be required to complete the trade.

3.) Re-sign Moulson and put him with Eberle or Stasny

4.) Move Ott for another #1; use that pick and one of our other 2nd round picks to acquire a player on the cusp of the NHL

5.) Prepare to overpay for Patrck Kane; offer him and his family jobs at the Harbor Center\Hockey Academy for life.

6.) Move Stafford, Talinder, Sulzer and any other vet that will not be here next year.
