darksabre Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 ###### this ###### winter. I like it. Quote
SwampD Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I like it. Me too, and I just shoveled the driveway, then removed a couple of tons of ice and snow off of my roof from the last storm. Didn't think it would survive another. When I got down, the driveway had a fresh 4 inches on it. Now I get to drive to work. Good thing I have that emergency 30 pack in the truck. Quote

Spring is going to be so awesome this year. Nothing like a good winter to make you appreciate its eventual intermission. Quote

I love the distinct seasons. We don't always get them. What I like about this winter is how genuine it is. How it once was, back in the day, when we were knee high to a grasshopper's eye. Quote
Taro T Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Mud and mosquito season. The 1st will be much worse than normal unless it is a very windy Spring. The 2nd should be much better than last year when we essentially didn't have Winter. Quote
North Buffalo Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) South of Danbury, CT in NY, Westchester, finally a bit of snow someone from Buffalo can be proud of, getting what I grew up with were called locally heavy snow squalls. Loving it, trying to decide how soon to take my boys outside to play... I am still Peter Pan. I remember the blizzard of '77, though this is nothing like that. We dug tunnels in our from yard you could stand up in... still makes me nostalgic. Edited February 13, 2014 by North Buffalo Quote
nfreeman Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Duke-UNC basketball game canceled tonight. That tells you all you need to know about the conditions here. That decision was almost certainly made by UNC alums fearing a butt-whoopin'. Quote
LGR4GM Posted February 14, 2014 Report Posted February 14, 2014 Yea I just had 3 days off of work because of the ice and snow we got over by Atlanta. Current Temp however is 34 and rising fast. Supposed to hit 50 by this afternoon. Quote
