nucci Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) I know there's time left for stuff to happen..... But I'm quite underwhelmed at the day Not being a smartass but what were you expecting? We traded our FAs for picks and prospects. Just as planned Edited March 5, 2014 by nucci Quote
WildCard Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I know there's time left for stuff to happen..... But I'm quite underwhelmed at the day agreed, appears a lot of teams didn't wanna pay a ton for rentals this year Quote
Samson's Flow Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Tradecenter has the Leafs GM press conference to go over making no moves? That makes a ton of sense... Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Weave will be pissed about this Cody Mc deal. Quote
Hoss Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Overall this deadline was pretty crazy. A lot of big names. Quote
RonHextallsShoulderPads Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I feel like this pending trade is going to be a curve-ball. Maybe Ennis. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Chris Johnston @reporterchris 40s The #habs give up prospect Sebastien Collberg and a conditional second-round pick for Tomas Vanek. Quote
Hoss Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Sebastian Collberg and a 2nd. Not a great return. Collberg was a recent second rounder. Edited March 5, 2014 by Tankalicious Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Not being a smartass but what were you expecting? We traded our FAs for picks and prospects. Just as planned I know the miller/ Ott pulled in a decent return, I was hoping for at least a shocker with Ehrhoff/staff/etc... I mean I want expecting us to pull in a crazy good deal but as the day went on our players became worth less and less and then this last trade with Moulson got me discouraged Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Vanek for a 2nd and a prospect...Isles really got fleeced on that trade... Especially considering they gave the Sabres Moulson and a 1 and 2 for him. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 After seeing what Snow got for Vanek I am kinda worried to see what Picks we got for Moulson... Quote
Brawndo Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 What about the pending trade? Eklund says possibly Myers, so we know that is not him Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 @SNHockeyCentral Sebastien Collberg and a conditional second-rounder going to Isles from Habs in Vanek deal. #TradeTracker Quote
Samson's Flow Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Chris Johnston @reporterchris 40s The #habs give up prospect Sebastien Collberg and a conditional second-round pick for Tomas Vanek. Projected as a top 6 forward at RW from Sweeden. Certainly a few years away since he has a 1994 birthday. Quote
matter2003 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Especially considering they gave the Sabres Moulson and a 1 and 2 for him. Yeah that's really what I meant...for what they gave up, and what they got back they got mauled in that trade Quote
Hoss Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 By the way: Darcy Regier made the best trade of any Buffalo GM this year. Don't worry, though. Tim Murray, I believe, will still be the better GM. Quote
... Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 After seeing what Snow got for Vanek I am kinda worried to see what Picks we got for Moulson... Well, remember, if you remove Moulson from the equation, and add up the picks and prospects, that is ultimately the return for just Vanek. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 What about the pending trade? Eklund says possibly Myers, so we know that is not him I have heard Halak and Stafford's names dropped as well. Hard to say. Quote
nobody Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 From Mike Russo blog http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/248608851.html The Wild was in on Drew Stafford. I was told this afternoon, and I need to report it out more, that any Stafford deal would be contingent on another complicated trade the Wild would have to make elsewhere to basically move a player. Quote
Hoss Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Chris Johnston @reporterchris Believe there is at least one more deal to be announced. Quote
spndnchz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 So basically Snow paid the Sabres a first round pick to take Moulson. Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 So basically Snow paid the Sabres a first round pick to take Moulson. Snow should be fired! Quote
Samson's Flow Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 So basically Snow paid the Sabres a first round pick to take Moulson. when you pit it that way... Islanders = :bag: Quote
Hoss Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 John Vogl @BuffNewsVogl The Sabres' other trade is believed to be Jaroslav Halak, source says. Quote
