McBain should not be tendered, he needs to go away. I have a feeling Scott will be back on a one or two year contract. Tallinder will sign for one more year as well. It's not as if Adam has earned a spot on the Sabres but I'm willing to bet he will be on someone's roster next year ala Clark MacArthur

Boyle isn't what he once was. Still steady, but he doesn't change much for this team.

yep. Giving a few vets a place to park until the next market opens isn't a bad idea.

Teams with kids need veterans, they learn more from the vets than the coaches.

The more veteran partners a young player has in his career, especially on D, the better they will become.

I love this idea! We could tell the veteran they will be traded at deadline to a contender. Do it three years in a row and we would be loaded with young talent!

My guesses for the Buffalo-related free agent names that get mentioned here a lot:

 

Steve Ott ends up in San Jose

Matt Moulson ends up in Los Angeles

Thomas Vanek ends up in Minnesota

Ryan Callahan ends up staying in Tampa Bay

What dallas did with jagr last year. Also i wouldn't give Callahan 6.5 mill a year, but maybe he takes a hometown discount never know.

Also might be a reason he put his asking price so high, knowing nobody would go into that , he doesn't come out as the bad guy in new york while wanting to come to buffalo.

I don't think that's much of a dream. We've had plenty of players like both of them, and they've gotten us nowhere. I'd rather get the types of players that you need at the top of your team before worrying too much about guys like them.

We have Callahan types in the system right now.

I really hope McBain leaves because I cannot stand to watch another season of him...

 

I figure we'll take a stab at Ott or Moulson. Not sure we'd get either though.
