Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Good to see Sekera having a career season. Scored as many goals this season for Carolina than he did in the previous 3 in Buffalo. Change of scenery can help a guy improve his game. Quote
inkman Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Am I the only one annoyed with how R.J. bless his heart is constantly mispronouncing Sekeras name? So you think a guy who has been pronouncing his name correctly for the last half dozen years suddenly forgets how to pronounce his name? Varone looks itty-bitty out there. He's 5 inches taller than Gerbe Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 PK unit has been the lone consistent part of the team. Killed off a double minor and made it look easy. Way to go boys. Quote

Change of scenery can help a guy improve his game. He was playin that well in Buffalo. That was a "Jhonas is too short" goal by Semin. Word Quote
Iron Crotch Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Oh, Jhonas... no wonder he hasn't been winning games... Quote
Ross Rhea Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Oh, Jhonas... no wonder he hasn't been winning games... but if that was miller you would be blaming ott wouldn't you, oh the hypocrisy Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 again i love enroth and i think he can be an above average starting goalie. But you cant call out your team, then when they put up 3 goals, give up that type of goal in the 3rd. If im not mistaken he has had the lead in the 3rd the past few games and blew the lead Quote
Brawndo Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Damn the Sabres should trade for SEKera. Edited January 24, 2014 by BRAWNDO Quote
... Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Goodness, we're about to go through goalie-hell, too, on top of everything else. Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Sekera is on pace for a 40 point season. The best he had as 29 in 2010-2011 (3g 26a). I wish he could have been able to have tose in of stats for the Sabres. He as a favorite of mine. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 but if that was miller you would be blaming ott wouldn't you, oh the hypocrisy Huh? These are relatively soft goals he is letting in. Miller gets blame if he lets in softies too. Quote
LGR4GM Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Watching Sulzer, Weber, McBain makes me long for the days of Ristolainen, McCabe, and Zadorov... Hell right now I think those three are already better. Quote
X. Benedict Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Does anything rhyme with SEK-er-a Quote
Johnny DangerFace Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) The thing that irks me is enroth called out his teammates....he is the backup goalie. He has now blown three straight third period leads. IMO, he put the spotlight on himself, and he has let in some softies tonight. Edited January 24, 2014 by Numark Quote
SarasotaSabre Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Enroth needs to come up with a big save or three, or steal a game better yet, before he complains it's tough to win with this team Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) 2 3rd period goals....argh! Last 4 games Sabres lose 4-3. What are the odds that they finish this game with the same score? 2 SOG in the 3rd will not win you many games. Edited January 24, 2014 by Nitro60 Quote
Trettioåtta Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 but if that was miller you would be blaming ott wouldn't you, oh the hypocrisy Goal 1 - Backhand thrown on net. Soft goal Goal 2 - Straight shot on net from out high. Soft goal Goal 3 - Ott should have had his man. Saveable shot (as if he was a little taller it would hit his shoulder). But not his fault Goal 4 - Point shot that slid along the ice. Soft goal 3/4 goals were very preventable Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Pull the goalie...hope they have worked on this because the last few times the have done it, it has been hard to watch Well that stunk and don't have to worry that the game will be a 4-3 affair. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Well, at least it wasn't another 4-3 loss. ;) Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Teams are beating the Sabres on the 2nd night of back to back games. These guys need to press the issue on the opponent but they don't, The Sabres just don't have the talent to compete even with average teams this season. Quote
inkman Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Teams are beating the Sabres on the 2nd night of back to back games. This is not exclusive to this season Quote
Nitro60 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Just checked the stats and the Sabres are 16th in goals against, which is not bad but they are dead last in scoring. Have less than half the goals Chicago does. Ugh. Edited January 24, 2014 by Nitro60 Quote
