I went to the Canes-Lightning game on Sunday and the Canes looked pretty bad giving up 4 goals on the first 14 shots. Gerbe got benched for a large portion of the 1st/2nd periods after going -2 early.

If this play from last night is any indication, he seems to have rebounded from his benching pretty well.

I was just thinking the opposite lol.

 

Are you one of those low number purists? Or do you just dislike 84? Personally, I like it when players use the full range, it makes it more interesting, the numbers often have stories behind them and it is easier to identify players on the ice
