I like Ted Nolan but sometimes he does things that make you say WTF. The 4 on 3, he has Ott, Ennis, Hodgson and Myers. Why not have Myers plant his backside in front of Thomas leaving the wingers opportunity to take shots. Panthers fell into the small triangle and Ott got swallowed up in there. Oh well. PP stinks and the empty net crew is pathetic.

Nolan, in his reincarnation, is seeming to be a great motivator and poor strategist. I never wanted him fired to begin with in the nineties, so I hope he pulls it together.

I am slowly looking forward to the post Olympic trading period. Sabres don't have much to offer. St Louis might rent Miller but not for a king's ransom. Only vets worth trading are Ott and Moulson. This is a rebuilding team but you still need veteran presence on the ice and in the locker room.

 

I hope Ted gets it together. I concur that he should not have been fired in the first place. Muckler was the problem.

Miller will not bring back his worth in a trade; you're right.

 

I'd like to keep Moulson.

 

I don't care either way about Ott.

 

In any event, Ehrhoff will provide the veteran presence.

Maybe Nolan is not playing to win but playing to evaluate players for Murray, etc? I get confused. Are we rooting for tanking or winning?

I guess I am old fashioned. You play to win and not to tank.

 

They (The Sabres) are playing to win. Whether fans cheer for a tank or not is immaterial to the team's effort. Remember one thing.....TaTanka means Buffalo!
