Ryan totally sucked in the shoot out for the first time that I can ever recall. Was not on his game there. Too bad, he kept them in the game all night. I hate, no, I loathe the Maple Leafs and their fans.

Can't remember last time Miller let 3 on 3 in.

Meh wins and losses have no impact on me. We are in last place anyway and even coming last doesn't mean much as you might draft second anyway

That's pretty disgusting.... the Sabres score 6 goals in their last 2 games and don't win even one of them? Unbelievable. Either we score, and the goal-tending sucks, or we don't score, and the goalies play lights out. This team just can't catch a break.

Catch a break?? They just aren't very good.

You're an odd one. If i didn't know better i'd say you just watch the stats not the game. Perhaps you score more because you are more aggressive and therefore give the opposition higher percentage chances. Or perhaps you let the opposition fire tons of shots at your goalie tiring them out.

It isn't as simple as you suggest.

Wanna know something disgusting? We have scored 4 goals in regulation twice this season.

Miller hasn't allowed 4 goals in his last 17 games

And they were consecutive games if I remember correctly.

Girgs did practically everything but score.

Miller played well yet looked awful in the shoot out. I think the next outing he has he'll dominate due to his anger with his own play.

Hodgson looks much better in the D-zone than he was last year, none of those idiotic turnovers as of late with him.

Every line needs Girgs or Ott, it seems to get any energy.

Leino looked dead until the 3rd, then he just looked deathbed worthy! Great improvement!

But if that's true, ie, playing more aggressive gives more scoring chances, then it probably ought to be reflected in a higher number of shots against in a game. But this was a 39 shot game - while certainly high, it's not anomalously high. The Sabres have a very high shots against number.

And whether the team plays aggressive or not, and has a weaker defense, all that has zero, ZERO effect on Miller letting both shots in the shoot-out get by him. That's all on Miller, and no one else!

Basically, it seemed to me that Miller played a below average game for him. And again, what I mean about catching a break - having the offense and goal-tending on the same page in the same game.

Well, there is that too. LOL

According to the sabres, Girgensons set the NHL record for hits in a game with 13. That's awesome.

I thought Rayzor said he was one shy of the record? Still awesome, especially on the 2nd night of back-to-back games.

NHL record is 14 hits (3 times). He did set the league high for this year though.

As somebody who was really on the fence about giving up on the Myers project, I am really glad they stuck with him. He has really turned his game around completely and looks like a whole new player! What an OT he had tonight.
