Assquatch Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Should be a good one tonight. Leafs had a long stretch of poor to mediocre hockey recently but have turned it on the last couple of games. Does anyone know why Miller sat again last night (2nd game in 3)? That seems very rare. I thought maybe just maybe a trade was in the works. But if that was the case I would have thought it would have been finalized by now. I guess maybe because it's a back to back but why wouldn't they play Miller at home? I watched the first half-hour of the Leafs game last night waiting for the Sabres game to start. They were not playing well and I was surprised to see that they ended up winning. Their defense stood around watching the first goal (Marchand and his beak).
Weave Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 @BuffaloSabres Sulzer, Omark and Enroth are the last players on the ice, doing extra work with the assistant coaches. #sabres -CR Omark out, John Scott in?
... Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Omark out, John Scott in? Possibly. Omark is perhaps in as much hot water with TN as anyone after the cute pass on the two on one last night.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 Omark out, John Scott in? I'm guessing Omark and Konopka out with Stafford and Scott in. Also Sulzer out with Myers back from his punishment.
... Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 With three fresh bodies on a back to back night, excluding Miller, it makes sense to swap out those who are in the doghouse.
Derrico Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 I watched the first half-hour of the Leafs game last night waiting for the Sabres game to start. They were not playing well and I was surprised to see that they ended up winning. Their defense stood around watching the first goal (Marchand and his beak). Ok thanks for the info. Listening to 590 on my lunch and it sounds like the flu is running through the team. The guys were talking about what an emotional win it was against the Bruins, coupled with the flu, coupled with playing the last place team tonight and they would not be surprised if the Sabres won. The way the leafs have played all season I won't be surprised if the Sabres win, flu or not.

cdexchange Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Wish we could just play the Leafs 82 times this year. I swear this season these are the only games that I truly get excited about.

qwksndmonster Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 I watched the first half-hour of the Leafs game last night waiting for the Sabres game to start. They were not playing well and I was surprised to see that they ended up winning. Their defense stood around watching the first goal (Marchand and his beak). I watched the Bruins-Leafs game yesterday and watched the Sabres game during the intermissions (room full of Boston and Toronto fools). The Leafs played well on the PP and actually closed the game out. Bruins looked meh in the 2nd and 3rd. Too bad it's the last Sabres-Leafs game. The Leafs are so bad that the Sabres actually beat them every now and again.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 15, 2014 Author Report Posted January 15, 2014 @BuffaloSabres Nolan says Stafford is ready and will play tonight. Foligno is out with an injury (day-to-day). Scott in for Omark. Myers in for Sulzer. -CR
