Taro T Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Leino was out there in the last minute..and was the player to chuck it down in the Flyers zone at 40 seconds to let them take it over and set up the score Leino dumping the puck for a line change is what this loss is getting blamed on?
Eleven Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 He's that consensus brochacho. Lemme break it down to you. Miller is a better goalie than Enroth. Miller is the better goalie on the Buffalo Sabres. The Buffalo Sabres have a better chance of winning hockey games with their better goalie. How many goals do the Sabres have to score so that Enroth can get a win? One? Two? Five? And you think people make excuses for Miller. Tonight, the answer would have been "five," just in case your second-to-last sentence was not rhetorical. In Arabic numerals, that is 5. In Roman, V.

In Arabic numerals, that is 5. In Roman, V. I'm just glad they finally realized they don't have to score zero or one goals when he's in net. Three whole goals tonight? Wow! Agree with this: Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres12m D'Agostini feels for Enroth. "He's been our best player when he's played; we just haven't gotten him the goals." You could make the argument that he's been the second best Sabre this season.

Jsixspd Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Leino dumping the puck for a line change is what this loss is getting blamed on? With 30 seconds left, why hand it to Philly? And maybe if Leino hadn't been out there in the first place, the puck wouldn't have been stuck down in Buffalo's zone so long!!!
nfreeman Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Well, they scored more goals, but I thought they played a fairly crappy game tonight. The only Sabres I liked were Hodgson, Ott and Zemgus. Pysyk looked pretty shaky all night and I wouldn't be surprised if he sits when Myers returns. Teddy has said a couple of times that Omark is too cute with the puck. This was very much the case when he made a bad pass on the two on one with about five minutes to go instead of taking it to the rack. I wonder if Leino thinks he's still on the Flyers? This would explain how all of his passes ended up directly on their sticks. BTW, they absolutely win tonight with Miller in net. Not even close. It would've been nice to have seen a replay on Kenopka's second penalty. I find it hard to believe that he just took out the goalie with no help from a flyer. Disappointing effort.
Robviously Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 You could. He's hardly bad. But the Sabs win with Miller tonight. The way Miller's been playing, probably. He makes at least one more save than Enroth. But the Sabres looked like little kids in their own zone. This was a bad hockey team not getting bailed out by a goalie playing the best hockey of his career.

And it would have been nice to see Miller with the bailout in front of the home crowd that pays only to see that, now.

And maybe if Leino hadn't been out there in the first place, the puck wouldn't have been stuck down in Buffalo's zone so long!!! Because he was at the end of a long shift and his linemates were already changing. The puck was behind Filly's net and the next line & D should have handled the rush. There are a lot of things Leino was guilty of tonight, costing the Sabres the game losing goal was not 1 of them.
dudacek Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Jhonas Enroth was the best goalie on the ice for the Buffalo Sabres tonight.
Eleven Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Jhonas Enroth was the best goalie on the ice for the Buffalo Sabres tonight. Impossible to argue with this.
Hoss Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Saying "this team wins if this player plays tonight" ignores so many factors. Games completely change with certain players playing. The Flyers may very well have won in a different fashion if Miller is in net. The game wouldn't have been the same.
Taro T Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Impossible to argue with this. Didn't see the warmups tonight, so I'll have to take his word on it.
Robviously Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Impossible to argue with this. You're really underestimating this forum.

Hoss Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Apparently so. So your opinion that Miller = win is a completely unarguable fact?
Eleven Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 So your opinion that Miller = win is a completely unarguable fact? No, man, I'm just so, so sick of your ######.
dudacek Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Jhonas Enroth was also the best goalie with a single-digit number for the Sabres tonight too. You don't have to just take my word for it. It's a FACT!
Hoss Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 No, man, I'm just so, so sick of your ######. Oh my goodness give it a damn rest. I said in a completely normal manner that I disagree with your statement.

You'll be receiving a thank you from Eleven for helping point out something wrong in my post so he didn't have to give it a proper response.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 So your opinion that Miller = win is a completely unarguable fact? Pretty much. Wait until Miller is traded, we're going to hear it after every loss.
Hoss Posted January 15, 2014 Report Posted January 15, 2014 Pretty much. Wait until Miller is traded, we're going to hear it after every loss. Hey, he did win the Sabres a silver medal once.
