Then the owner must suck. All benefits from ownership change should be immediate. There can't be any long term benefits from the locker room to the weight room to bringing quality hockey people onboard and flexibility with contracts.

As other's have noted, this new HOCKEY leadership group, on paper, looks like it can become the best in the league. Pegula is certainly making up for the years he kept Regier on...anyone doubt the guy is a fan? These kind of FO moves are the sort that fans throw out on message boards as fantasy moves. It's real for the Sabres...I hope they live up to the expectations.

realistic would be realizing that as long as DR was here, we weren't trending in any direction but down. Now that the old regime is gone, and more and more of the old core is gone, the mentality of this team can finally change, the effort can coached back into it, and we should be at rock bottom as of yesterday (today is the slow start to climb up).

Even with all of our defensemen, I'd make a play for him. Much more realistic to get him now than at other times in the past when it's been spitballed here.

No one's asking you to jump up and down. You were casting doubt on whether the future was bright thanks to Pegula's ownership. Sorry he doesn't lace them up and score or prevent goals to result in an immediate change in the W/L record but if you honestly think things aren't trending up since he took over then frankly your opinion means nothing to me.

Tim Murray seems like a great hire. I also like the fact that he seems like a no nonsense guy who will not put up with the BS from the Buffalo News guys. He has been groomed for this day his entire life.

 

As an aside, except for Paul Hamilton, Tim Graham, and John W, most of the guys who cover the Bills and Sabres are horrible. To think how far the quality of the Buffalo News has gone down since guys like Jim Kelley and Vic Carucci. Bucky, Sully, and Bucky/Sully protégé Harrington are horrible.

 

I also absolutely love the Craig Patrick hire. Great addition to the Sabres. Miracle in Buffalo.
