Nitro60 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Give the shoot out to them. Our guys did not come close.
Eleven Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I'd like our chances in the SO much better with Miller in net, but Enroth (ETHRON!) has to learn sometime. Wasn't there a guy in Dallas who was crazy good in the SO before? Forgot how good Boyes' record is. I'll bet it wasn't Steve Ott.
Hoss Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Why do they have to review this? Clearly a goal. Went off Enroth's back.
Trettioåtta Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Seems like a poetic way for them to win
BuffaloBorn Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I figured either Brad Boyes or Brian Campbell would get the GWG considering they're both X-Sabres
Tom Backyard Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Live by the post, die by the post.
bunomatic Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 The Sabres feed on firstrow is really bad, so I've been watching the Panthers feed and OH MY they are homers. While Omark was laying there hurt they were taunting him. They were saying "how do you like them apples, Linus?" And then with this shootout goal (that should be a goal but was ruled not) they were saying "that's 100% a goal. I have no idea what this ref is saying." Yeah they were. I was watching that feed too.
biodork Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 I'll bet it wasn't Steve Ott. Lol no. Jussi Jokinen. How was that not a goal? Edit: oof, that was a lot longer ago than I thought, but yes Jussi was 8 for 8 in the SO in 2006: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/nhl/stars/2006-01-31-jokinen-shootouts_x.htm
DumbPuck Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth did not look like an Olympic goaltender tonight. He hasn't since the 2010-11 season IMO.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth did not look like an Olympic goaltender tonight. He hasn't since the 2010-11 season IMO. What game were you watching?
deluca67 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 We've seen it the other way, too, most recently in a shootout. If it were the other way 'round, DeLuca would be calling for five games. Are you comparing a clean hit to Scott's head hunting? How embarrassing for you. ;)
JJFIVEOH Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 This game's going to a shootout. Neither of these teams can score two goals. Enroth will get another 1 goal loss. When is Enroth going to ask for a trade?
Stoner Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Oh, well, Brad Boyes, Brad Boyes, whatcha gonna do?
deluca67 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth did not look like an Olympic goaltender tonight. He hasn't since the 2010-11 season IMO. What game were you watching? Stopping 34 of 35 shots is a really good night for any goaltender. It's not Enroth's fault he has 11 fourth line forwards and a John Scott playing in front of him. Oh, well, Brad Boyes, Brad Boyes, whatcha gonna do? He'd be a Hall of Fame player if the NHL had shootouts in the playoffs.
Robviously Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth did not look like an Olympic goaltender tonight. He hasn't since the 2010-11 season IMO. This is mind boggling.
Nitro60 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth had a strong game. Defense had several lapses in their own end and he made the big saves. I am not sure what game you were viewing.
Assquatch Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 ...11 fourth line forwards and a John Scott playing in front of him... What do you like about this team?
JJFIVEOH Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 7 goals of support in Enroth's last 8 starts. That is pathetic.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Enroth was beat a lot tonight, 5 posts.... Sure he made saves, but I would call his performance par for the course
deluca67 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 What do you like about this team? As the roster stands right now, not much. We should all hope that Tim Murray feels the same way. They are the worst team in hockey for a reason. No need to try and find silver linings.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 Moulson is the only real "finisher" on the current roster. It's a real surprise when this team scores more than one goal. Bad...scary bad!
biodork Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Not that he's had a great year, but hopefully CoHo will be back soon.
deluca67 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Moulson is the only real "finisher" on the current roster. It's a real surprise when this team scores more than one goal. Bad...scary bad! As much as I doubt Moulson will re-sign with the Sabres, it would be a huge message to the league and other players if the Sabres could. The same can be said for Ott and Miller.
