wonderbread Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Great effort tonight. Really glad I tuned in. If I was Nolan I'd be having a shitfit.
SwampD Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Great effort tonight. Really glad I tuned in. If I was Nolan I'd be having a shitfit. If I was Nolan, I be praying really hard that they don't remove that "interim" tag.
hockeyhound Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Minnesota is playing well; Sabres are up against a good team tonight, and it shows. The effort seems to be there; however, the skill is not. Miller has to be pissed; not getting much help tonight
inkman Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 just checked ESPN.com and the NHL third-worst plus/minus is Myers @ -16, while Weber is dead-worst at -20 ....... geesh http://espn.go.com/nhl/statistics/player/_/stat/points/sort/plusMinus/position/defensemen/count/241 Ummm...the Sabres are dead last in the NHL standings, goal scoring and goals against. (Maybe not the last one but you get my point)
sicknfla Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 For those of us that were afraid we may be playing ourselves out of a top pick - we can relax.
SarasotaSabre Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Ummm...the Sabres are dead last in the NHL standings, goal scoring and goals against. (Maybe not the last one but you get my point) UMMM, I get that - was just trying to reiterate the "individual contributors" who are the chief culprits on this sorry squad.
Nitro60 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 They have fallen into the passive mode. The Sabres forget to pressure the other team and fall back into a shell but are too timid in their own end. The other teams in the NHL have the book on them. Put pressure on them and the Sabres retreat. It makes it easier on the opposition to get shots on goal. For a team that has the least goals in the first (11) it is an odd behavior trait. Here is a glaring stat: Chicago goals scored in the second period: 62. Sabres season total:66
qwksndmonster Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 For those of us that were afraid we may be playing ourselves out of a top pick - we can relax. So... just you and Robviously then?
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 We can't win on the road We can't score We can't play D We can't convert on odd man rushes But we can suffer
sicknfla Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 So... just you and Robviously then? Pretty sure a few more than that. Regardless the Sugar Bowl is a hell of a game.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Pretty sure a few more than that. Regardless the Sugar Bowl is a hell of a game. What's happening to my team, they look far from a team that was a FG away from a national championship
sicknfla Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 We can't win on the road We can't score We can't play D We can't convert on odd man rushes But we can suffer Don't be so harsh. At least we are the hardest working team in the NHL.....or so I have heard.
sicknfla Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 What's happening to my team, they look far from a team that was a FG away from a national championship It's a bowl game. Oklahoma has nothing to loose and Bama is giving it a decent effort but left their heart in Auburn. Saban will give them ass chewing at the half and they will be fine.
Eleven Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 I'm late to the party; I'll note two things: (1) Larsson gets no respect from the refs, because it took about three hits for him to get that penalty, and (2) this team sucks. The second is not new.
CallawaySabres Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Hello hello hello, Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home? there'll be no more ahhhh ahhh ahhhh
bunomatic Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 an extra 2 minutes for being so big.
inkman Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 UMMM, I get that - was just trying to reiterate the "individual contributors" who are the chief culprits on this sorry squad. My point was that Myers and Weber may have bad plus minuses but it's not a true indicator of the poor play on this team. Everyone is accountable. I'd even go as far to say that Myers and Weber are two of the least guilty of poor play on this team. Lets look at Leino, Ennis, Flynn, Ott, D'Agostini, Foligno, Stafford, McBain, Sulzer, Ellis, Porter, Tallinder.
SwampD Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 an extra 2 minutes for being so big. I can't wait to hear Deluca's explanation of why. The ref's double standard is as blatant as his.
dudacek Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 As much as I disagree with DeLuca he is right in that Scott can't play a regular shift on this team — the officials won't let him.
sicknfla Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Our 12 forwards have a COMBINED 37 goals in 41 games. Pommers has 18. Still like the trade??
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 It's a bowl game. Oklahoma has nothing to loose and Bama is giving it a decent effort but left their heart in Auburn. Saban will give them ass chewing at the half and they will be fine. With that missed FG and OU getting the ball in the 3rd I don't have much confidence
