Trettioåtta Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 I'd take Konapka over all the 4th liners and most of the 3rd liners we've been parading out there all season. Me too. He has a proper 4th line edge to his game Dany Heatley only has 12 points and is a -14 (by far the worst on his team)... what happened to that guy? BTW - this is a game between the NHL's two lowest scoring teams. So... 6-5 tonight? :P Karma? He killed a human being and got odd scot free for being a professional athlete
26CornerBlitz Posted January 2, 2014 Author Report Posted January 2, 2014 @BuffaloSabres The defense shoots on Miller as the morning skate winds down. Looks like he'll be tonight's starting goalie. #sabres -CR @BuffaloSabres #MillerTime: In his last seven games, Ryan Miller is 5-1-1 with a .954 save % and a 1.66 GAA. #Olympian

Derrico Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Karma? He killed a human being and got odd scot free for being a professional athlete I'm not going to get deep into something so tragic but that's not true at all. Firstly they were best friends and there was no intent at all. Secondly Snyder's parents did not want to press any charges and acknowledged it was an accident. It was not because he was a professional athlete and if you don't think he carries that burden with him everyday then you're just wrong.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 2, 2014 Author Report Posted January 2, 2014 @BuffaloSabres Myers didn't practice yesterday, but he said he's ready. Nolan said Ott will play tonight (Ott didn't take the morning skate). #sabres -CR
hockeyhound Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 82 Marcus Foligno – 22 Johan Larsson – 17 Linus Omark This should be an interesting line combo. Omark seemed to be playing a little better in his last game. Hopefully Foligno and Larsson can retreive some pucks and create a little space for Omark to get some SOG. Omark has a nice shot; his shoot out attempt really demonstrated to me the type of shot the kid has. Hopefully he can get one into the back of the net tonight.
Eleven Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Mike Harrington @BNHarrington 40m Nolan said some big bodies will be on PP. I say, "No. 32?" He says, "More than likely. He's the biggest one we've got." Insert Goon reference here.

Made my night seeing him score the other night!

Kristian Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014  He might be hitching a ride on the buyout train. Hurts to see him wearing #23.

inkman Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Hope the FLO line shows us something so Leino can stay in the Press Box. Hopefully we'll see some blood out there. Just hope they can avoid the cramps. As long as the play isn't spotty, this has the makings of a line that will last more than a period.

Campy Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 01/02 – THE MORNING SKATE: MYERS, SABRES READY TO TAKE ON STRUGGLING WILD (Chris Ryndak – Sabres.com) “Johnny doesn’t think we’re a fourth line. Since he scored, we’ve been calling ourselves the second line,” D’Agostini said with a grin. “Our job is just to provide energy, go out there and forecheck. That’s where we’ve been getting our chances, so the second line’s got to be good again tonight.” I just lol'd reading that.
IKnowPhysics Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 4th line = 2nd line. :clapping:
qwksndmonster Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 2nd line 3rd line 4th line 4th line Wouldn't expect wins out of this team. Let's see if we can get one on the road

Trettioåtta Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 I'm not going to get deep into something so tragic but that's not true at all. Firstly they were best friends and there was no intent at all. Secondly Snyder's parents did not want to press any charges and acknowledged it was an accident. It was not because he was a professional athlete and if you don't think he carries that burden with him everyday then you're just wrong. When you drive twice the speed limit intent doesn't matter. It is dangerous and reckless and you should be charged with manslaughter. I honestly have no sympathy for someone who purposefully endangers others lives when behind a wheel. He is on par with someone who drink drives and kills someone (i'm sure most drink drivers don't intend to kill someone). He faced a charge that could have got him 15 years in prison but got him 3 years probation. I honestly don't believe a young man who wasn't an athlete would have received the same verdict. But maybe we just disagree, so there is no point arguing about it. You are right that Snyder's parents did help Heatley lower the sentence as well He might, and should, carry the burden with him, but he made the choice to break the law and be reckless. At least he can still carry the burden
