LastPommerFan Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Did the puck leave skid marks?
biodork Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Wow. Just finished watching the game recording (was extra fun being in Phoenix with my mom rooting for the Coyotes), and that GWG was the craziest I've ever seen. Stafford is an idiot for throwing that elbow, but awesome to see them hang on and get the win while 3 men short. Woohoo for double-digit wins!
Assquatch Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I'll try. Us good Them bad #badonkadonk victory Better ;) Thanks :)
biodork Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Does anyone actually know people who are fans of the Coyotes? My mom, brother, and his roommate are STHs.
Eleven Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 My mom, brother, and his roommate are STHs. TIL that biodork knows 30% of Phoenix Coyotes fans.

stenbaro Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I'll admit Nolan has impressed me the way he has brought this team together I am getting the impression from how long its taking to Sign a GM that Lafontaine and Nolan are gonna take this ball and run with it as long as Pegula lets them...And in my eyes if they can get this from the group they have now I am more than willing to enjoy this run...Effort is all there, and the talent is growing up...Let it ride....

nfreeman Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Yup. Amazing effort for a short bench and a fitting end for the way the refs have called the past two games. It's like the hockey gods are approving of the changes in Buffalo. Scott in front of the net only makes sense, and he can hustle, too. I'll admit Nolan has impressed me the way he has brought this team together Old wrongs are being righted. The hockey gods are finally starting to consider the possibility that we have suffered enough. It's happening. As for tonight: that was a genuine Buffalo Sabres thrilling moment right there boys. They were back on their heels for most of the 1st but played very well in the 2nd and 3rd. And there wasn't an ounce of quit in them despite the shortened bench. Guys I liked tonight: just about everyone, but especially Miller, Myers, Ehrhoff, Ott, Girgy, Flynn, Larsson, D'Agostini and most of all Ennis, who was probably the best skater on the ice. Plenty of good seats left on the bandwagon...
Huckleberry Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Hehe, imagine if that was his first NHL goal, allthough i don't think he'll forget this one either. As for all the players being down with the flu, i heard they had a welcome party for omark, and this is a case of spin the bottle that went horribly wrong.

qwksndmonster Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 That goal was amazing. I couldn't stop laughing. I love Gus. Sabres' official website called the replay of the OT goal "Pants Party" Anchorman reference?
Eleven Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 TIL Eleven is a redditor. Nah I just read. Gotta read something at 5 am.

Kristian Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 One things' for sure : RJ seems to have gotten his excitement back. Can't say that I blame him. So the Coyotes are hardly the Hawks or anything, but another come from behind win, *and* with a depleted roster to boot. I'm sorry, I'm half delirious here, it's been so long since I've seen a Sabres team show this kind of guts.

If this team would have played like last night over the previous seasons things might be really different right now. Hopefully it turns out to be one of those games that brings a team closer together. Establishing an all for one attitude in the locker room will go a long way as the roster continues to turn over and the "re-build" continues.
carpandean Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 From NHL.com: Smith said, "I don't know. I guess if they don't see the puck, they're supposed to blow the whistle. That's not what happened."

Yup, would've made things a lot simpler if Ruff could've managed to make his team give a damn, instead of wasting his time beating them over the head with his god forsaken "system", or if Pegula had kicked Dary out 2 years ago. Neither was the case unfortunately, but at least the team seems to be moving in right direction now, and building character is not a bad place to start.
