Very good pressure by the Sabres. They sure had Jets penned in there. If only they could score.

 

This team simply CAN'T execute a 3 on 1.

If I was a Jets fan, I would be really upset right now. They are getting it handed to them by the worst team in the league. And yet, the worst team in the league with a massive shot advantange still can't score...

 

Why... Cause it is the first period.

That drop pass by Girgensons to Ennis was the best anyone on this team has made in forever. Girgensons going to the net to run interference is exactly how to make that play.

Everytime I hear Clitsome I think of the scene from 'Full Metal Jacket' where the gunner in the chopper is mowing down woman and children in the rices paddies screaming "get some, get some" and when he's asked how he can shoot innocent women an children, he says "just don't lead them as much." Movie quote gold.

Up 19-7 in shots... but, of course, still tied at 0-0. That said, the team has come a long way since being absolutely dominated in the first period of damned near every game under Rolston.

So good. You can tell right there what kind of people you're watching the movie with by who laughs.
