SwampD Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 He will appear near to Buffalora the highly born and tall one entered into Milan. The Abbe of Foix with those of Saint-Meur will cause damage dressed up as serfs. Instead of the 4th line, we can call them the Quatrain line.
darksabre Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Instead of the 4th line, we can call them the Quatrain line.
Rox11 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Buffalo plays 58+ minutes of shutout hockey AND score 4 goals. Take away that brief stint and sounded good.
CallawaySabres Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Should be an interesting home and home with Boston coming up
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Hooray poo-poo jokes!!! Foligno and Stafford were looking for it tonight. Flynn-Porter-Ellis....put them in goathead jerseys.....
Iron Crotch Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Weber a +1 tonight. Astonishing. Weber hasn't had a plus game since April of last season!
26CornerBlitz Posted December 18, 2013 Author Report Posted December 18, 2013 Astonishing. Weber hasn't had a plus game since April of last season! Seriously?
thewookie1 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 What could be next?… Ellis scoring? It really would be awesome if he scored. LOL are you psychic? :)
SwampD Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 It's our third regulation win. 34th game of the year. oof. LOL are you psychic? :) I knew you were going to say that.
Iron Crotch Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Seriously? Unfortunately, yeah. Weber has been terrible this season. But, he got a +1 and his first point of the year tonight. Maybe the Weber - McBain pairing is an okay one. We have one plus player on the roster... Matt Ellis! +1 through 2 games.
Stoner Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 It's our third regulation win. 34th game of the year. oof. I knew you were going to say that. Can you tell how many fingers I'm holding up?
JJFIVEOH Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 That was fun! I almost forgot what it was like to win a dominating game.

I always thought Pysyk would have been a good fit but that pairing never materialized. Maybe Mcbain is a better fit.

The fact that the next closest of the players who have played a full season is Ennis at -6 says a lot about him.
SwampD Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Can you tell how many fingers I'm holding up? After my comment in the "skates" thread,… I'm guessing one.
MattPie Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Good, hard won victory. The boys deserve an ice cold beer or two. And with the recent player moves, most of the team legally can!
JJFIVEOH Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 That's the first time in 10 games that either team in BFLO games has scored more than 3 goals?
... Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Anyone else wince when Paul Hamilton says to a player about Ellis and crew "they're not that talented, but..." I can't recall who it was he said that to tonight, but the player made a quick double-take before catching himself and answering calmly.
dudacek Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 I believe my last post before the game was "How 'bout them Sabres!" It's nice to watch a game with a story line that, for once, isn't Sabres outplayed territorially, can't score, hang in there and lose. it's nice to watch a game with a story line that ends with the good guys winning. So much for my pre-game whining about no one left worth watching. That was entertaining hockey. The first period was our best period hockey all season. Coming back the way we did after the crushing Scheifele goals is exactly what this team needs to start believing again. Four freaking goals! One from each line! How long has that been? I am not entirely convinced Hodgson was really injured; it could have been a quiet Nolan lesson. Either way, he game back with some determination tonight. Combining him and Foligno was long overdue. Get those guys a fast power right winger who can play give and go hockey and we will have an excellent second line for a long time. Make Evander Kane be that guy.
dudacek Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 I could see you having an issue with this years draft. But next years? I know if we finish last we only have a 25% shot at McDavid. I still want to sign up for a 25% chance at a GENERATIONAL player. For those wondering, above is some McDavid highlights. After watching that, the Islanders would be insane to defer. Any team anywhere near the playoff bubble trading next year's first rounder at the deadline is certifiable. (Some nice glimpses of Bennett and Reinhart in there too for this year's draft watchers) What could be next?… Ellis scoring? :clapping:

I can't recall who it was he said that to tonight, but the player made a quick double-take before catching himself and answering calmly. I heard that, I think he was talking to Ott. Hamilton is just a condescending fool. Lately I've been turning off the post game after the Nolan presser just because I'm sick of him. Tonight I listened for some reason, I'm really sorry I did.
qwksndmonster Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Ellis's goal was just dirty. Wow. Good stuff, Nolan. Imagine if the 2009-2010 Sabres played this hard.
