IKnowPhysics Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 That WGR article by Coller about Girgensons is pretty insightful; it quantifies how well he's been playing.
Dannepanne Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Girgs deserve to be on one of those PP-units..
Claude_Verret Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 That WGR article by Coller about Girgensons is pretty insightful; it quantifies how well he's been playing. Nice article that demonstrates the only real positive that I was hoping for out of this season...real signs of improvement from the kids as the season progresses.
Mustache of God Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Will Leino be watching again?
CallawaySabres Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 I would like for them to win this one so the crowd might have a little spark on Saturday as they come off back to back wins. For those not wanting wins for draft position, you really have nothing to worry about if you look at the schedule. Let's get some confidence going with these guys and see them have a little fun here.
dudacek Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 There is no Crosby in this draft. Picking second or third will not be a disaster. And we are so far back that a .500 record from here on in (highly unlikely) wouldn't be enough to move out of the bottom three. It's OK to cheer for wins.

Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 I may finally be able to catch a game tonight, ill probably see the team that has played most of the season, I keep hearing about the good team that showed up on Tuesday, but have yet to see it with my own eyes. Lets take 2 from parliament!!
Stoner Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 That WGR article by Coller about Girgensons is pretty insightful; it quantifies how well he's been playing. On the other hand, no one needs that article to tell them that, least of all professional hockey evaluators. It's just pocket protectors being pocket protectors.
IKnowPhysics Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 On the other hand, no one needs that article to tell them that, least of all professional hockey evaluators. It's just pocket protectors being pocket protectors. Now, now. Casual fans (read: not us) like to read articles sometimes. The casual fan may read the stat line of seven points in 30 games and not see it until it's pointed out that four of those points are in the last five games. I'd rather see an article that reports that the sky is blue based in facts than a slime ball editorial rooted in opinion.
Campy Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 On the other hand, no one needs that article to tell them that, least of all professional hockey evaluators. It's just pocket protectors being pocket protectors. Two questions: You didn't find that to be an interesting article? What do you mean by "pocket protectors being pocket protectors?"
... Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Have a "jam" to attend this evening, unless we get snowed in beforehand. So, I'm likely to miss this one.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 12, 2013 Author Report Posted December 12, 2013 Senators D Marc Methot out with the flu with D Cody Ceci recalled from Binghamton in his place. Matt Kassian will be healthy scratched tonight. Craig Anderson to start in goal. Mika Zibanejad will be moved into the top six. Sens Line Combinations and Defense Pairings - TBD

Whoa, it's not a simple schedule but it's not overly difficult one either. In the next 11 we only play a team in the top 5 within their respective conference twice (both Boston). We also play 6 games against non-playoff teams (Ottawa, Calgary, Winnipeg twice, Pheonix and NJ) and 3 against middling teams in Toronto (who is playing horrendous right now), Minny and Washington. Tank Nation must live on!! Take no games for granted!

Iron Crotch Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Will Leino be watching again? I still think Leino should be on the right wing with CoHo instead of D'Agostini. That'd be my move if I was coach. But, Nolan must see something I don't. Personally, I've seen next to nothing out of D'Agostini that would warrant top-2 line minutes.

26CornerBlitz Posted December 12, 2013 Author Report Posted December 12, 2013 @BuffaloSabres Ted Nolan says Ville Leino will be back in the lineup tonight. Cody Hodgson is likely out with a lower-body injury. #sabres -CR @BuffaloSabres McNabb and Sulzer working with Teppo Numminen at center ice. Doesn't look like either will be in the lineup tonight. #sabres -CR
