bunomatic Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Well its been a slice. Heading to the company x-mas party. Good nite all.
biodork Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 You're right I have noticed the NY games have always been different. Guess it escaped my mind. I just thought it was weird that I got the 1st intermission (half of it at least) but none of the 2nd intermission. They're always good about answering inquiries. I might send them an Email if the next game is like this. Just to get some clarification. I've noticed that, too. But for some reason I don't get intermission or commercials... only the actual game. Edit: just noticed MattPie said the same thing. Surprised you got part of intermission, JJ!
bcsaberks Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 I'm wondering if they envisioned that commercial with Pominville before he was traded. Freakin' Darcy. Ruined everything.
JJFIVEOH Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 I've noticed that, too. But for some reason I don't get intermission or commercials... only the actual game. Edit: just noticed MattPie said the same thing. Surprised you got part of intermission, JJ! That's weird, I figured we'd all get the same internet feed at least. I didn't get all of the 1st intermission, just the last part with Roby and Duff.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 There were a lot of rangers fans in there tonight especially in our section... They were pretty douche baggish.... I hate every team from NYC tho... I hate the city itself too
HopefulFuture Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 The team has been gutted. Not that it's a scenario that should be surprising. What little scoring and competitive players there were we shipped out for the future. What did those of you that are whining expect? An actual competitive product? If that's the case, welcome to reality. The bottom line is this...... STOP YOUR BITCHING!!!!!!!! The team is not going to be remotely competitive, get over it. Look to the future. Instead of bashing the game play game in and game out, start evaluating what talent we have here in positives. I mean really, stop your constant bitching, it serves no purpose for those of us that fully realize what is transpiring and completely is useless. You can bitch till the cows come home, won't make a lick of difference. Start becoming talent evaluators for the future, not for the here and now please.

Well... that, and porn.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 I will continue to bitch all season, about the games and about life in general.... It's what people do on a message board about the worst team in hockey.... Really to expect anything other is fairly ludicrous
josie Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Well, at least Hank didn't get his shutout.
JJFIVEOH Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 There's an official vodka of the BFLO Sabres? How appropriate.......

Why do you feel compelled to write a post telling others how to act and what to think?
hockeyhound Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Let's Go Buffalo! So what happened, I was on the phone. I guess its over, and by briefly looking at some of the post, it doesn't appear that it went well. On to the next game plus or minus a few players.
MattPie Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 There's an official vodka of the BFLO Sabres? How appropriate....... Is it? I thought it was "Mongolia's Premium Vodka".
hockeyhound Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Well, at least Hank didn't get his shutout. After signing the big contract, I didn't think the Sabres had a snowballs chance in hell of winning tonight.
JJFIVEOH Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Is it? I thought it was "Mongolia's Premium Vodka". Could be. I don't pay attention to commercials but caught the 'official vodka of the BFLO Sabres' part just minutes after the game finished. Gave me a good laugh.
Doohicksie Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 It wasn't that bad. She did it without music. I give her good props for doing it. She has potential, but she missed a lot of the notes and then moved her pitch up or down to hit it. Also, her tempo was terrible. She did great for a little kid, but I don't think she's good enough to be singing for an NHL franchise. As soon as Buffalo gets an NHL franchise, I bet they don't use her anymore.

You may want to check back in a few years. Because until then it's going to be a steady dose of bitching. Odds are it may be longer than that. Since you are talent evaluating let me know when you find someone in this pathetic organization that can score a freaking goal. Rebuild or no rebuild I am ashamed to be a Sabre fan right now. This organization is being disgraced. You keep being hopeful for the future. I will keep being disgusted with the present.

They suck, you know they suck, and you know they're going to suck for a while. And part of the plan for them ever not sucking again is to avoid a bunch of poorly thought out quick fixes like all of the stuff they've been doing for years now. So sucking is basically the order of the day. Your choices basically come down to (1) taking some time off from watching the team or (2) finding some enjoyment in watching the young players figure things out in the NHL.

Doohicksie Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 They suck They may suck, but they're MY TEAM, dammit! I'll continue to watch them and root for them and hope for them to win.

I think I choose number 1. There really isn't much enjoyment in what we are watching. I love Nolan, but the neutering of John Scott is tough to watch.
dudacek Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 It's weird, but I've managed to emotionally detach myself, while keeping my level of interest high. I really think it's because Nov. 13 cleaned out all the doubt and fear and I understand it will take quite a while to clean out the garbage. And the garbage has been piling up for so long, I'm OK with sitting on the porch with a cold one and a smile, just watching the clean-up.

No it doesn't make me happy. It makes me pissed. Blame it on whoever you want. The fact of the matter is we are in the midst of watching what will probably go down as the worse team in history. So NO I am not going to hang onto the pipe dream of 3-5 years from now. I want to watch a semblance of hockey NOW - not in 3-5 years. I get it. It is not going to change overnight. It is going to take time. Great. That doesn't mean we have to like it or accept it. If posters want to bitch about it that is their right. Of anyone on here thinks that the bitching is going to stop you need to wake up. And BTW - what young players are you talking about?? Now that we have sent the young players back to jr or the AHL we are no different than any other team in the league. So the only thing I am watching is a joke.

CallawaySabres Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Well, I can say, without a doubt, that was THE most boring sporting event I have been to in my lifetime (and I am afraid there is worse to come.) The crowd, no fault of their own is utterly depressing. The only thing I said above a whisper all night long was "I miss the Toronto fans."
