Hoss Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 For some reason. On my phone, anybody want to post the tweet?
26CornerBlitz Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 That was fast!: http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8471851
nobody Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Ha Derek Jedamski @TheHosers_DSJ I have always pictured D'Agostini as a much worse Drew Stafford. ie - He will be playing 18+ minutes tonight.
Iron Crotch Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Meh. The only positive as I can see is we're weak on right wing depth. Darcy always ignored which side guys preferred to play and fielded an entire team of left-side players. So maybe they're just trying to even the depth out a bit?

Sounds likely, they probably want to add a few more veterans to the roster, who'll be easy to dump again, should the situation call for it. Anything to get the rookies off the ice, and stop messing up their development.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 @DaveDavisHockey Matt D'Agostini was an instructor at Ted Nolan's hockey school in 2008. http://bit.ly/1aYVwia
wjag Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Oh goody.. That should give us another whole new set of line combinations to gnash our teeth on.
Huckleberry Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Heh funny, was about to suggest we should grab him of waivers seeing we had nothing to lose yesterday. Also probably means kaleta won't be back for a while.
SabresBillsFan Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 @DaveDavisHockey Matt D'Agostini was an instructor at Ted Nolan's hockey school in 2008. http://bit.ly/1aYVwia Could be that Ted can motivate him to play decent hockey. This team doesn't have anything to lose picking him up. Worse case they send him down to Rochester and help the kids.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 For the Record: @BuffaloSabres NEWS ALERT: #Sabres President of Hockey Operations Pat LaFontaine announces the team has claimed forward Matt D’Agostini off of waivers.

MattPie Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Claimed from the Pens, clearly Pegula/Black meddling.
Trettioåtta Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Ha Derek Jedamski @TheHosers_DSJ I have always pictured D'Agostini as a much worse Drew Stafford. ie - He will be playing 18+ minutes tonight. We might as well trade for Alex Semin and we can have a better Drew Stafford, Drew Stafford and a lesser Drew Stafford as our top three right wingers
Huckleberry Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Don't know how many games some of you been watching lately but the ones i have seen i liked stafford except for the fact he isn't scoring much. Out of that top line, Moulson and hodgson have been more of a dissapointment to me.
qwksndmonster Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Don't know how many games some of you been watching lately but the ones i have seen i liked stafford except for the fact he isn't scoring much. Out of that top line, Moulson and hodgson have been more of a dissapointment to me. I've had enough of Stafford. A top 6 winger that doesn't score is next to useless. It's really nice of Drew to actually try a little bit here in the twilight of his time with Buffalo, but Hodgson and Moulson are actually top 6 players.
inkman Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 I think they downgraded toughness while not really improving skill.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 @BuffaloSabres Matt D'Agostini will wear #27 for the #Sabres.
IKnowPhysics Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 In March, Lamoriello claimed he could be a 2nd or 3rd line winger: http://www.sportingn...eur-scores-goal
BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Tropp a RW? If that's the case, waiving him for this guy seems like a waste of time. That kind of nullifies the idea that it's an attempt to strengthen the right side, right?
inkman Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 In March, Lamoriello claimed he could be a 2nd or 3rd line winger: http://www.sportingn...eur-scores-goal On this team probably first
