Well at this rate we can be assured a top 3 pick. It doesn't matter who is coaching this team you can't turn this $hit into gold. He has nothing to work with. That's why I said before in other posts it's going to be at least 3-5 yrs before we see the playoffs and I'm leaning more towards year 5. By the time you draft and develop more players. This is a mess.

They should have come out outhitting and wearing them down setting up for a tired third by Detroit but with virtually no physical play by the Sabres Detroit had it easy.

We should of had a 5 on 3, how the refs can ignore Ennis getting twisted around is BS, they had no problem giving Detroit a PP to get the go ahead goal.

About the penalty's because it's almost the same players doing the same bonehead penalty game in and game out. Coaching can only go so far this team lacks talent. We are like an expansion team all over again with a ton of draft picks coming.

. Myers played physical but I was underwhelmed by Erhoff and Sulzer

Once again, they have no PP. In the bottom ten in PP stats. This has been going on for 3 seasons. You need a player who can run the PP and guys who can hit the net from the point. I am having Alex Zhitnik flashbacks. I don't expect this group to turn crap into gold but some improvement would help in scoring. 5 on 5 they need to bury the opportunities.

This is why I can't get on board with those who harp so much on Hodgson's deficiencies. He's not a well-rounded player and he's not the style of player some want to see here, I get all of that. But he's the only one on the team producing anything even remotely resembling consistent offense. It's not so much that he should be immune from criticism, but rather he's pretty far down my list of things to complain about.

I agree Hodgson is the only sort of offense this team has. He's a second line center playing first line. Thanks Darcy!
