LaLaLaFontaine Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Thank you for the (again) perfect game day preparation. I think we can win today. We had 3 days rest and time to train. Detroit played last night against Ottawa. They lost Pavel Datsyuk due to a elbow against his head and respective concussion. Detroit is in a bad shape. So i belive we have a fair 50% chance to win. 3:2 Buffalo
26CornerBlitz Posted November 24, 2013 Author Report Posted November 24, 2013 Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk out for Sunday's game at Buffalo after being elbowed in the head (video) The Detroit Red Wings will be missing their best player Sunday when they visit the Buffalo Sabres, as Pavel Datsyuk didn’t make the trip due to a possible concussion. Datsyuk was elbowed in the jaw by defenseman Jared Cowen with 7:48 remaining in the Ottawa Senators’ 4-2 victory Saturday at Joe Louis Arena. Datsyuk was shaken up momentarily but got up and played three more shifts. His last shift, however, lasted only 12 seconds, and he did not play in the final 1:51. “We left him behind,’’ general manager Ken Holland told MLive.com. “After the game he felt, I don’t know the word, but he wasn’t quite right. We’re going through the protocol, see how he feels in the next day or two.’’
kishoph Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 I always try to be optimistic, but it's getting frustrating seeing the constant flip flopping of the line up and lines. I know that Nolan doesn't know these guys yet, but I think you have to give them more than one game together. You have guys on the 3rd and 4th lines one night and their on the 1st and 2nd lines the next. I think a key to winning is getting some continuity, letting players get familiar with their linemates. This drove me crazy watching Rolson doing it and even when Lindy did it at times.
Huckleberry Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Hoped otherwise, but Detroit is getting hammered in this division from all sides, hoped their skillset would outmatch the rough play. its not their style of play but hey welcome to the northeast division.
deluca67 Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 The Sabres best chance is that the Red Wings feel sorry for the Sabres players for wearing those god awful 3rd jerseys.
SwampD Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 It's nice to have a break from football. Detroit better watch out today, They're going to think they got hit by a bus.
Robviously Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 They're definitely going to win tonight just to make sure that there are about a million jokes on Twitter about how maybe the uniforms aren't so bad after all.
BuffaloBorn Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 The Sabres best chance is that the Red Wings feel sorry for the Sabres players for wearing those god awful 3rd jerseys. I think ur onto something
deluca67 Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Gonna be watching the Grey Cup. Is that part of the new uniform?
North Buffalo Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 I like the new 3rd and fourth line grouping think the could last a while and the third line could be a number 1 or 2 in a couple years while the fourth might make a great checking line. The first 2, cant add much except expect more of the same. Only 3 out of the six work and show any toughness.
SwampD Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Is that part of the new uniform? awesome.
darksabre Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Is that part of the new uniform? :worthy:
DR HOLLIDAY Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Is that part of the new uniform? LOL, it might be, with special blue ball holder built in.
Eleven Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Is that part of the new uniform? Nicely done.
darksabre Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Heading to Buffalo for the game today. A little disappointed that Datsyuk is out with a concussion. Please entertain me Sabres.
nfreeman Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 The Sabres always look outclassed against Detroit.
deluca67 Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 The Sabres always look outclassed against Detroit. I read this post and thought what if you took two teams that fans were familiar with and changed the uniforms. Not the numbers and names on the back, just have them wear the other teams uniforms. Fans go into games almost pre-programmed. I wounder what type of effect on the fans it would have.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Detroit has some big injury problems and Howard hasn't been all that amazing.... If the sabres are gonna best Detroit then today is the day they should do it..... Plus Im going so I want to see a win
SabresBillsFan Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 So how bad does Nolan sound off today if they lose to Detroit at home? Detroit played last night and Buffalo with 2 nights off. No excuse that Buffalo shouldn't have energy or the legs with 2 days off. Should be very interesting. Maybe the blame on the mustard jerseys?
North Buffalo Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 nice sepia tone hmmm can the whole game be played in that light??
johnnychemo Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Gonna fire up the grill - how does TB like his turdburger?
darksabre Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 Make it stop! Sitting down for some big glasses of street brawler at Pearl Street. And beef on weck of course.
