inkman Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Better keep those turkeys frozen so no one gets sick on Thanksgiving! Go Sabres! Working in the food manufacturing business, if those turkey were frozen and cooked properly, sitting in 40 degrees for a few hours is nothing to worry about.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 *Turkeys away* Just caught this! Classic.
dudacek Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

26CornerBlitz Posted November 21, 2013 Author Report Posted November 21, 2013 @pham1717 McNabb in for Pysyk
nucci Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 I get the feeling there is a ton going on in the front offices at this point in time and it's making it difficult to provide clear direction. If this is still happening a month or two from now I will be more concerned but we're early on in the new process and there are a lot of moving parts. There could be something with Grigorenko as to why they have not played him. I mean something more than what we know. My other thought is that they really want to know what veterans on this team are going to be the kind they want to build around and which ones they want to move. Playing Grigorenko isn't going to help the cause of moving any of them for any value. If Leino is scratched constantly then his trade value goes down even further. After all, if he can't be in the lineup on a crappy team how good can he be? At least with him on the ice there's a chance people chalk it up to the rest of the team or the culture, etc. I'm just going to be patient and enjoy the ride for now. And I hope they beat the Flyers. Leino's contract is a major reason his trade value is down......of course his play doesn't help.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 21, 2013 Author Report Posted November 21, 2013 Sabres vs Flyers Game Notes PDF (11/21/13) Looks like Grigs is in tonight  @BuffaloSabres Tropp, Flynn and Pysyk doing extra work with the assistant coaches. #sabres @BuffaloSabres Interim coach Ted Nolan says Ennis will be ready to play. Grigorenko will be back in the lineup tonight. #sabres
Derrico Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Grigorenko will play tonight. Good call.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 I like the lineup moves. Tropp is trying hard but just lots of wheel spinning. Pysyk needs to learn to have a little edge in front. He's been ok in the corners, but McNabb will give you some clear. Flynn hasn't really brought the scoring. We shall see.

I liked Flynn at the end of last year, but this year he hasn't done a damned thing. He's a good guy to scratch. I think he is eligible to be sent to Rochester as well.
spndnchz Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 What are the odds that McNabb gets the first Sabres penalty? I think pretty high.

26CornerBlitz Posted November 21, 2013 Author Report Posted November 21, 2013 Special significance to Berube-Nolan matchup When the Buffalo Sabres and Philadelphia Flyers meet Thursday at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia it will be matchup of two teams already on their second coaches of the 2013-14 season. Though that's notable in itself, there's another reason the meeting of Ted Nolan of the Sabres and Craig Berube of the Flyers stands out. According to the Flyers this marks the first time two First Nations coaches have been on opposing benches.
nfreeman Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 @pham1717 McNabb in for Pysyk Interesting. McBain's been getting a lot of PP time, so I guess Teddy is OK with him. Also interesting that Scott is staying in. Cereal Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Will anyone else be there? I'll be the quiet white guy with a home Gaustad jersey, by himself in Section 224.
bcsaberks Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 That's some ###### keeping Scott in the line-up after last game. Yeah Flynn is boring as hell but can eat ice time without being a liability. Tropp has upside. C'mon. Is Nolan a dinosaur like Lindy was? Goon v Goon? Philly doesn't even have one do they? Andrew Peters all over again. "he's good in the room, he's so funny!" :wallbash:
kishoph Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 If Leino is scratched constantly then his trade value goes down even further. After all, if he can't be in the lineup on a crappy team how good can he be? How much further down could it go ? I heard they offered Leino for a 20 lb turkey and couldn't find a team willing to make the trade.

LTS Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 How much further down could it go ? I heard they offered Leino for a 20 lb turkey and couldn't find a team willing to make the trade. I know we have fun with this. And perhaps the delta isn't that great but.. having him scratched says more than having him playing and having some other GM see it and believe that he's just not happy and not trying/out of place on a bad team so it'll be better on our team.

Like Stafford, no one is going to trade for Leino unless the Sabres sweeten the pot with a pick or prospect or by taking back a bad contract.
Iron Crotch Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Ville is going to have a monster second half of the season... like a phoenix rising from the ashes...
