Nitro60 Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Guys like Stafford are in for a rude awakening. Ted does not like slackers and guys who don't play sound defense in your own end. The young guys will finally get the direction they need to grow into good pros. Quote

Trettioåtta Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 So much for Terry wanting this organization to make mistakes... We are now the Oilers, we fire our management and bring in alumni to run it. I'm intrigued what a new gm will do. I hope Devine goes, he has as much to do with running the franchise as DR. The times I saw Nolan coach, I was not impressed I like the idea of Pat being involved. Is there any decent GM out there? Any European ones like the Finish guy for CBJ? Quote
papazoid Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 is ted black in or out ? if in, is he over or under patty ? Quote
Stoner Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Listening closely to Pegula. Man, I could not work for that guy. His insistence that everybody holds hands and works together scares me. Quote
darksabre Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 is ted black in or out ? if in, is he over or under patty ? Completely separate departments. Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 OMG I love LaFontaine... "I currently don't have the experience in the General Manager job" Quote
SDS Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 The first thing I want from my new hockey coach is to cry and then talk about crying... said no one ever. Quote
Stoner Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Man, I think it's going to be very tough to give this town Nolan and then take him away — again. Quote
darksabre Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 OMG I love LaFontaine... "I currently don't have the experience in the General Manager job" We're going to get one thing from this new front office: honesty. Quote
Hoss Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Completely separate departments. Thank you. It's only confusing for some because we never had this position before while most teams did. Quote
darksabre Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 The first thing I want from my new hockey coach is to cry and then talk about crying... said no one ever. It's endearing. We finally get some emotion. Quote
Hoss Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Man, I think it's going to be very tough to give this town Nolan and then take him away — again. Unless he already understands that it's temporary. Quote
Stoner Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 "Cross-pollination" of responsibilities said Terry. Pat will be part-GM. Quote

shrader Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 And how long until they overhaul the Amerks coaching staff as well? Cassidy was a Rolston guy. Quote
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 it will be nice to see a team that works hard again and plays above its talent level Quote
plenzmd1 Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Patty Kaleta back on the Thruway right now? Edited November 13, 2013 by plenzmd1 Quote
darksabre Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 "Cross-pollination" of responsibilities said Terry. Pat will be part-GM. I think that is to be expected. Whoever Pat hires as GM will not be doing whatever he wants. Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Wonder what they'll decide on Baby Z? Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I think Devine and the scouts have done a good job. I like the hiring of Ted Nolan. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) If nothing else Patty will provide instant help with recruitment should they decide to once again include free agency as part of the revamped #blueprint. Edited November 13, 2013 by Claude_Verret Quote
BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 This could be the best thing to happen to the organization since terry bought the team. Let's go sabres! Quote
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 And how long until they overhaul the Amerks coaching staff as well? Cassidy was a Rolston guy. I think new GM will decide all of this and Pat will work to rebuild the entire hockey side Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 His insistence that everybody holds hands and works together scares me. Not what I meant. Quote
