neverenough Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 At this point just lose every game and fire people.
qwksndmonster Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Posted November 12, 2013 I dunno. It's Rolston who is moving them around. Darcy doesn't make that happen. How about they just keep the lines the same for 10 games straight and let the players learn to play with some chemistry. You can't have that if you change where everyone is playing every other game. It doesn't work. There's really only been 2 or 3 line configurations so far and Rolston gave them each much longer than he should have. The problem isn't the lines are being shuffled, or that players can't find chemistry; the problem is that Rolston doesn't know how to put even 1 NHL line together. 26 Matt Moulson – 19 Cody Hodgson – 9 Steve Ott ("C") [why is Ott on the first line?] 23 Ville Leino – 63 Tyler Ennis – 21 Drew Stafford [why is Ennis centering and why is Stafford not on the 4th line/scratched?] 28 Zemgus Girgensons – 82 Marcus Foligno – 65 Brian Flynn [Why is Foligno centering?] 25 Mikhail Grigorenko – 8 Cody McCormick – 78 Corey Tropp / 22 Johan Larsson [why is Grigorenko on the 4th line?] Good god it's just a mess.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Interesting numbers: @BuffNewsVogl Say what you will about Patrick Kaleta, but here's a fact. Sabres penalty kill was 93.3 percent with him. It is 75.5 percent without him.
qwksndmonster Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Posted November 12, 2013 He's scratching Zadorov again? :censored: :wallbash: :censored: :wallbash: :censored: :wallbash: :censored: :wallbash: :censored: :wallbash:
dudacek Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Not sure why, but the team clearly thinks Z is better off watching and practicing here than playing in London.
Iron Crotch Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 I assume Darcy is trying to stretch Z's 9 game tryout for as long as possible.

wjag Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 I assume Darcy is trying to stretch Z's 9 game tryout for as long as possible. That is my interpretation as well.
dudacek Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 That is my interpretation as well. I assume Darcy is trying to stretch Z's 9 game tryout for as long as possible. Clearly the case, but my question is why. Why is important that it be stretched out? What is being gained?
26CornerBlitz Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 This isn't really revelatory. Kaleta has been a strong PK'er for at least a couple of seasons now. True enough, but that's a pretty significant disparity.
Swedesessed Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 HUGE game tonight....First Niagara will be ROCKING...all the eyes of the hockey world will be on Pegula's Empire tonight as the Sabres battle the powers from the West...the LA Kings!!! Oh wait, I thought this was 2011 :wallbash:
Derrico Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 I assume Darcy is trying to stretch Z's 9 game tryout for as long as possible. I'm going to be pissed if I make the treck down to Buffalo and deal with 'leaf nation' at FNC and I dont' get to see Z on Friday. The way Ron Rol is going I figured Z wouldn't play twice in a row so I guess this increases his chances for Friday.
Weave Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 OK, I'm ready for Zadorov to go back to the OHL. This is silly.
hockeyhound Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 OK, I'm ready for Zadorov to go back to the OHL. This is silly. At least Big Z is a source of entertainment.
darksabre Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 OK, I'm ready for Zadorov to go back to the OHL. This is silly. Can't we send Stafford back instead?
hockeyhound Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Can't we send Stafford back instead? "What can we do to make you happy?" -Mike Schopp- :w00t: Definitely getting close to hitting rock bottom.
Kristian Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Can't we send Stafford back instead? No way, he's juuuuuuuust about to break out.... Any day now.... Seriously.... I mean, really! /Darcy Regier
Swedesessed Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 No way, he's juuuuuuuust about to break out.... Any day now.... Seriously.... I mean, really! /Darcy Regier :worthy:
kishoph Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 So now Ennis and Foligno are centers and Larsson is a winger? Ott on the first line? This lineup is absolutely repulsive. It's just a hodge-podge of pieces that don't fit together. Guys are not only switching lines, they're switching positions. Rolston should have them switch numbers every few games also to really try and get things going. Lieno must of had a really good game in the press box, since he got moved up to the 2nd line. I'm going to be pissed if I make the treck down to Buffalo and deal with 'leaf nation' at FNC and I dont' get to see Z on Friday. The way Ron Rol is going I figured Z wouldn't play twice in a row so I guess this increases his chances for Friday. He may be the 1st line center by Friday.
hockeyhound Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013    Let's Go Buffalo!
inkman Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Why is important that it be stretched out? What is being gained? A few key inches?
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Nice camouflage jerseys in the warm ups.... It'd be cool if they kept em on all game
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 A few key inches? It's not the size of your stick that matters, but the accuracy of your shot ;)
Brawndo Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres 12m Tonight, Rick Jeanneret will be calling the game from in between the benches next to @robray32. #CONFIRMED #Sabres
