billsrcursed Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I know for certain two ex-Bills lurk occasionally over "there". Wouldn't surpise me to know many lurk, but I'd be very surprised if anyone would actually post at all. They have twitter for that.
darksabre Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 You guys better invite us to the wedding, that's all. Assuming, that is, that y'all are into the marriage thing. I'll send the invites via fax. ;)
... Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'll send the invites via fax. ;) No way. If you're going to reject technology, you have to use pigeons.
MattPie Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'll send the invites via fax. ;) No way. If you're going to reject technology, you have to use pigeons. I don't think that was joke he was making, Zigo.
josie Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 No way. If you're going to reject technology, you have to use pigeons. "candy gram for Mongo...."
Derrico Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 There is no doubt the Sabres social media employees don't monitor this board. I'd be shocked if they didn't post either. This is basic marketing.
darksabre Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 "candy gram for Mongo...." MONGO LIKE CANDY
dEnnis the Menace Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'll send the invites via fax. ;) crap...I hope I remembered to plug it in!
Derrico Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I've often wondered if there are any females here posting as male. I can understand why someone would be hesitant to admit they are a lady given the locker room atmosphere at times, but between all the puck bunnies in the area and the amount of just down to earth female sports fans in Buffalo...you would think that more than a half dozen or so would have the backbone to post. I'm convinced Sabres Fan in NS is :P
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'm convinced Sabres Fan in NS is :P  tee hee .........
FolignosJock Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I could Def see TrueBlue being a company man, but mainly since he usually writes intelligently and doesnt put anyone on blast. Even when he rips people he is very respectful.
sabills Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 TO ANY SABRES REPS READING THIS: I'm totally open to you paying me off to write stuff for you. Or just letting you post stuff in my name. 5 bucks a word I think is reasonable. Get at me.
... Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I don't think that was joke he was making, Zigo. I get the Regier joke, however, I'd like to see a Regier-free thread once in a while. The happy couple is being mean to me...
wonderbread Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 what would be a good handle for darcy?
Iron Crotch Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 what would be a good handle for darcy? The Teflon Don
LGR4GM Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 what would be a good handle for darcy? Wishing4TrumpsToupee

wonderbread Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 thewookie1 Nice very unDarcy so much so that you wouldn't expect it.
Eleven Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 There is no doubt the Sabres social media employees don't monitor this board. I'd be shocked if they didn't post either. This is basic marketing. If it were my team, I would want them monitoring and not posting.
nfreeman Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 To expand on the last part, you have to be the kind of person who isn't afraid of voicing opinions and then defending them. Not everyone wants to do that or is comfortable doing that. We're all comfortable because we've been here forever. But this place is quite a challenge to anyone who perhaps isn't ready for a fight. Interesting. I'm probably one of the meanies but I also usually try to welcome the FNGs. New blood is important. As to the original question -- has anyone seen a post that they think came from the Sabres spin machine? If so, I'd be interested in seeing in quoted here. If it were my team, I would want them monitoring and not posting. Me too, unless it were someone who was open about his/her affiliation AND was someone whom I could trust not to make the organization look bad.
Claude_Verret Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I know people highly connected to the Sabres but who don't work directly for the organization. They don't post here AFAIK.
Iron Crotch Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 As to the original question -- has anyone seen a post that they think came from the Sabres spin machine? If so, I'd be interested in seeing in quoted here. I haven't. But, I think one of my favorite bloggers is a lurker here. I have no direct evidence... just a hunch. I'd also be shocked if some of the Buffalo News guys don't come here from time-to-time. We're a free source of article idea. Crowd-sourcing.
inkman Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 I'm still convinced that dude really was Steve Donner. It was the height of this board's awesomeness.
nfreeman Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 It was the height of this board's awesomeness. Higher than Liger's drunken proposition of Chz? Higher than the exposure of the fraudulent Iraqi war vet? Higher than Hank stalking PA? Higher than PA's ode to Lindy during the 2006 playoffs (the worm turned not too long thereafter, but back in the day PA loved Lindy just as much as I did)? Let's just remember that the bar for all-time awesome moments is pretty high around here.
