Watched the first two games, then gave up. Today, they were on locally in the Bay Area and I got to see a win!

SJ announcers are pissing and moaning about the goal that wasn't. They have lost the last 3 in OT or in the SO.

Buffalo has lost on far worse blown calls by refs, so you know what? Fook it! Let Sharks fans whine for one night. I expected the Sabres to lose 9-0 tonight and they surprised us. When was the last time that many guys had a good game?

Lmao no. There is no worse call than an overtime call where a blatant call is blown. Not in today's game with Toronto supposedly always watching to review these things.

Nice games by some of the whipping boys tonight (Myers, Stafford, Ennis)

Can't say Miller played bad; he made almost 50 saves. But Promo is right, he wasn't himself tonight.

About time we won one for him for a change.

Sweet move by Hodgson to win it.

And entertaining as hell. Four ###### goals? Against the Sharks? Where did that come from?

Well worth staying up for.

I'm sure Regier is nervous right now. This winning stuff gets in the way of the plan. He may be telling Rolston to cool his jets on getting the team competitive.

Just got home from the game...Amazing effort all night. It was obvious at times the Sharks have more skill and they left a few goals on the ice tonight but Miller was spectacular and they kept coming after San Jose all night. Good team win, I'm not gonna pick apart all the little things. I left the arena thoroughly satisfied and smiling tonight!!!

Anybody else notice Girgensons has quietly moved up to a +2

In OT

Just saw it, around the 2 minute mark. Seems like nobody noticed it at all. MSG showed a replay from the net cam and overhead. They stopped after Myers was in place thinking the play was dead. The ref never could have seen it from his vantage point. I'm wondering if another official had blown the play dead before the puck crossed the line because the ref standing at the goal line waved his arms to the side indicating 'no goal'...... and then the puck crossed line. Right then he blew his whistle and again waved his arms to the side. I just can't say him indicating no goal while the play was still live, even though he didn't blow his own whistle until after the fact. (Sorry, that all sounded better in my head)

Either way, TOUGH! Sabres have enough breaks not go their way. It's about time they got one back. They deserved to win this game.

Me too! I was pleased with that game. I'm still impressed with the way they handled the game after the Sharks tied it at 4. Normally the Sabres would go into a defensive shell and go for the point. This time they didn't, they laid it all out the rest of regulation looking for a reg win. Didn't happen, but the way they were playing I was glad to see them take chances in order to make something happen.
