Peppy22 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 It was the right move. 99% sure that no one would claim him. So send him to rochester and see if he gets the message...
Eleven Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 The latest from Future Mrs. Eleven is that he has accepted assignment to Roch. I am not sure whence her information comes.

HopefulFuture Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Kaleta won't see the NHL again IMHO. The league is turning a corner in addressing potential head and other injury issues. The NHL is attempting to clean up the game a bit. Agree with it or not isn't the point. The point is Kaleta has seen his last day in the NHL due to the change.

Kaleta's done in this league because he's a marked man and he probably wont be able to change his game. Suspending the ###### out of 4th liners and reacting to injuries rather than actual circumstances of the offenses is addressing very little.

FolignosJock Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Kaleta will make it back into the NHL hopefully for the Sabres. I would bet that he wont clear reentry waivers though, so we will see what the master plan was with this move.

Anyone know if thats correct?

There's nothing so special about Kaleta that cannot be found in another player and that's without the headache of his suspension/injury issues.

Doohicksie Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 If Todd Bertuzzi can play in this league again, Kaleta can. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz9RE9RGrVY
That Aud Smell Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 If Todd Bertuzzi can play in this league again, Kaleta can. I take your point. The principal difference being, Bertuzzi almost scored 100 points in a single season and has averaged a goal every 3 games over a 1000+ game career. Kaleta, OTOH, has played around 300 games and averages a score every 11 game, give or take.

If you want to compare than compare to Matt Cooke. Similar player who reworked his game so it was more acceptable to the league.
