Was Lindy the problem?

Lindy is probably really glad of that too. Of course, Dallas isn't setting the world on fire either - 14 points and a .500 record. So it's not like we can say "Look how well Ruff's team is doing!"

If Lindy was the problem this team wouldn't be the worst in the league. If anything, he helped us stay competitive despite a poorly constructed roster for several seasons.

In all fairness, Lindy never coached this years' team. Which likely wouldn't get out of the basement with the best coach the NHL has ever seen. Lindy has never had a team this bad to work with.

True and for the record I don't think this year's team would have much more than a couple more wins under Ruff. Coaching definitely plays a big role in wins and losses but I hold the opinion that the GM's duties of building the roster plays a more significant role. The fact that we still don't have a single veteran center capable of playing defense on the roster pretty much leaves any coach dead in the water.

Possibly more points then we will have all year, lol

In the back of my mind, I am thinking of diamonds in the rough missed such as Kevin Dineen that coached Portland pirates few years back. Rolston realistically coming off his us developmental credentials and most recent Rochester only.
